Look closer, they are actual photos. Check out the close ups on the rear diffuser and the front wheel.

This looks nice. Real nice. As for motor, I'm betting it will be a turbo version of the FA20. My question is, will they be using Equal Length Headers this time around? Or will they be sticking with inefficient UEL design? A twin scroll turbo would be nice too, although they probably won't do that.

It doesn't have that same reptilian / dinosaur / bird or prey styling that I love about the GR chassis.

It's too jaguar / retro muscle / BRZ / evo x / zenvo st1 / etc

Perhaps they will use this engine:

why not a twin scroll, seems like a given to me.

...and 014 just in time for my 3 years trade in cycle. bye bye 11 sedan. ill take a 2015 hatch.. although it looks good with four doors as well.

the FA going into the new forester has twinscroll. 99.99% chance its going to be the exact same motor.

That'll never happen, a 2 door wrx or sti would be in direct contention to the brz and kill all sales and future plans for a brz family like toyota wants.

Subaru has only paired the DIT engine with a CVT tranny so far. The BRZ STI and WRX STI will both get the DIT, I'm sure, but what transmission will they get? hmmmmm

This won't be the new WRX, if there's a new WRX, it would cannibalize the BRZ. With the death of the WRX/STi in England my guess is the WRX/STi are going to become trim models of the BRZ.

I'm not sure where you heard this from, but supercharger and turbocharger are sometimes used interchangeably depending on what country you are from. Shortened from turbosupercharger.

So chances are, it's turbo. Although supercharged would be amazing imo.

IMO it is a nice looking vehicle. Nothing about it says World Rally X though. I'm worried the next generation will be too refined. I enjoy the raw-ness of the past and present WRX's. You feel connected to the road. I hope this retains that feeling.

Why would the release a model that looks so close to another model? Why buy the BRZ when a WRX is more powerful, has a larger community, and looks similar for a similar price?

Because the BRZ is a completely different car? Lighter RWD have something to do with it maybe?

My friend owns a dealership and said that the next gen is supposed to be based on a new platform entirely. They are dropping the impreza name, along a new frame altogether. I wonder if the engine will stay the EJ25 or if they design a new 2.0L.
