Anyone know who owns the 2004-05(?) white STi I saw downtown this morning? I was a couple of cars behind him all the way out Park Street/Rio Road until he turned towards Pen Park.

Threatening weather, but the rain held off for the meet.

I just purchased my friend's silver '05 STi this morning. It needs a little bit of TLC but I'm excited to be a part of the group.

Speaking of TLC, what shops do you use in the Charlottesville area? I have a quote for a replacement steering rack at $720 for parts and $570 for labor (installation $340, front-end alignment $80, power steering fluid exchange $150). I have yet to look online for parts, but just wanted to get a feel for if that's a fair price or not. A separate estimate for mounting/balancing new tires clocks in at $60.

Welcome! Bring it on out to the meet tonight: 7pm at the top of the culbreth parking garage on main grounds.

There isn't a single local shop that everyone universally trusts. Brown has a pretty terrible reputation, but a new guy there is trying to turn it around. We have some local garage mechanics that are very good and do work for people.

Gotcha. I will probably not be able to make a meet for the next few weeks due to some travel arrangements (as well as my need to learn to drive a manual...) but will definitely be attending one as soon as possible. Hopefully the 7th.

That's a bummer about local shops. I have a good relationship with University Tire & Auto so I'll likely stick with them but see what kind of part prices I can find online.

I live in the Ruckersville area and work at UVA. I've seen the ISmokeV8's 5Door in Ruckersville a few times. Just wanted to let you all know I'm interested in going to meets. Here's mine.

Look forward to meeting everyone

Ahh I remember seeing you, in the silver sedan? Fast 6 was the night before, that night was the Hangover 3.

Yep, silver 4-door. I'd suggest turning on thread notifications, that's how I was able to reply so quickly. I'm hoping to make it out this Friday to the meet, maybe see you there!

Okay cool man thanks I rode to Richmond Saturday night and going onto a bridge at like 65 I must've missed my front lip by centimeters. That scared the hell out of me. I went to see 10 Years and got to meet the entire band afterwards and got a drum Symbol signed by all of them, and a Vinyl also signed by them all, also a band named 'Chuck Shaffer Picture Show' they also signed a poster and their release album for me. Idky I decided to say all of that..lol. Maybe some of you may know the band, I'm going to see them again on the 13th in Lynchburg. They're my favorite, would be cool to have a few more friends to go, and roll down there with.

If any of you have Instagram, I have a lot of photos of my Rex on there. I just got it about a month ago bone stock and did all the work to it in my gravel driveway, great on the knees haha.

Hey Everyone! I'm over the mountain a little bit in Harrisonburg. I'm just checking in and hoping I get to come out to a meet when I get back to the states in July.

Do you guys do install days and things of that nature?

We've never had an organized install day. Most of us can't wait for lots of people to need things installed I see random calls for help here and there though.

haha, that's totally understandable. I had to move into an apt in harrisonburg, so i have parts just kind of lingering in my "dining room" which has turned into a wheel/tire/parts closet.

I have a few things I need to work on, none of which are incredibly difficult, but always fun to have people and beer when it's going on.
