Please help with what? More info about your car?

Well, it's a 2007 limited WRX in Blue. The WRX comes with a 2.5L block and makes about 230hp stock, weighing in at ~3200 pounds. It has 4 wheels which come standard with 4 tires. One for each wheel.

Seriously though, what did you want us to shed light on?
We have no idea what's in the car as we're not there.
We have no idea what's been done to the car previously, since we're not there.
If you're looking for tips on break-in, please do a search.
If you're looking for tips on mods, please do a search for the words "first mods" or "mods", and you'll find a million threads.
Side note, 350-400awhp is not really "nice and simple". You're talking upwards of 430 hp. That's a lot of car. Not saying it's too much for you to handle, but it's far from "nice and simple".

You're going to need a LOT of money for that kind of power to the wheels. You probably would have been better off buying the 07 WRX limited that I got 2 weeks ago. Stage 2 with an STi 6 speed already. Of course, being "opposite man", I've already detuned and am removing all the upgrade stuff. Bought a stock exhaust last night. I'm excited.

His '07 hopefully isn't still in the break-in period... lol.

IF it's stock, I'd highly suggest doing a run over of the car for maintenance. Fluids, brakes, bushings, tires, etc.

'Upgrade"-wise... tires are a biggie. Summers for summer, winters for winter are always best. Next, upgrading the rear swaybar works wonders. 20-22mm seems to work well with the stock suspension. Brakes are also a cheap and easy upgrade.. aftermarket pads, clean stock rotors, and a MCB can make a world of difference.

Power-wise, the typical downpipe and a tune (commonly referred to as Stage 2) is a good start to keep things simple and not require any extra maintenance or reliability concerns. Start there. Get the brakes and suspension up to par first.

Anything more than stage 2, you start running into issues. Stage 2 will put you at about 230ish to the wheels. 350-400 is A LOT. You're talking 500 at the crank. That's A LOT.

Short ram isn't stock.

Catback...also isn't stock.

Best of luck with your 350-400 to the wheels. Those numbers require quite a bit.

Shouldn't he be concerned about getting an Accessport or a Tune since it already has an intake on it?

Other than that, I'd get a tune, either with an accessport or Open Source (I have an AP) and a downpipe. That's probably where most people start.

Help with what? The fact that you don't need to say WRX 2.5 Limited in your profile? (All 06+ WRX's were 2.5 )

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1393580 Read this.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=533787 Also read this.

Then read www.cars101.com for infor about the STOCK form.

How are we supposed to know what "fairly stock" means? you could have swapped the rear sway and called it "fairly stock". Or nothing. Or everything. Be specific, and people will understand you.

I didn't understand the "fairly stock" part. I think that's "fairly obvious" to you now.

You said you wanted "to add and make it right around 350 to 400 to the wheels and keep it nice and simple". Sounds to me like you want the end product to be 350-400awhp and be nice and simple. Not asking for a nice and simple way to start.

Ask specific questions, get specific answers. Ask vague possibly asinine questions, and you get... well, me. You didn't ask an actual question in your first post. You just said "please help." You even mentioned "Please help" after mentioning that it was still under break-in, signifying that you possibly wanted help with that? We don't know. We can't read your mind.

FSUsubaru9,

No need to read the pillar of words above.

There is nothing simple you can do to end up with 350-400 wheel hp. You're talking a bit of thinking and serious work. Do you have E85 available? Think about meth injection? That's where you need to think. And yes, you will need an STi 6 speed.

Anything bigger than a vf39,43 or 48 you will want bigger injectors. There is even power to be found with bigger injectors on a vf 39. Not much but some. No matter what your mods, in the end it will come down to the tune. You can have a complete cosworth build that can be toasted by a sh** tune.

Just messin

As has been pretty much said, there's really no nice and easy route to the power you want. Are you even sure that you want THAT specific amount of power? Have you driven another wrx which puts out that SPECIFIC amount of power, which is why you want it? Or is this just a good sounding number when you type it on the interweb?

How about starting with brakes and suspension? That way when you've decided what route is nicest and easiest, the rest of the car will be ready for it.

Good luck to you, enjoy your new ride!

Talk to your hook-up. If it's a tuner or supplier, they should be able to tell you all the specifics.

It sounds like you've done this all before. There's not a huge amount of difference between the 02 and your 07 when it comes to making that kind of power.

What did you have done to your '02 to make 340whp? Copy -> Paste. You'll probably need to do that to your '07.
