Wow, I've been doing it all wrong, I've had my 05wrx for a little over a year and only have went WOT a handful of times. I guess because when I had my truck I was told it would destroy the engine and trans...and it did.

Well u have to watch the rpm u shift at obviously.. Don't bounce off the rev limiter because it sounds cool (which it does). And granny shift the **** out of it. You'll be fine. And no launching, breaking an axle isn't fun. I didnt get mine fixed for over a month -_- , burning clutches, breaking gears. It's not worth it in my opinion

Every other weekend. I work close to home so I take it easy, weekends if I go out and get on a highway I'll push it a bit.

VERY rarely for me. I save the beating for autocross.

My work commute consists of 10 miles each way of 25-40 MPH roads. Besides that, I'm rarely on the highway to open it up.

Once a day usually but not very long. Usually 2nd to 4th gear pulls.

I may not go full throttle all the time, but when I do, it drinks 93 octane.

Stay thirsty my injectors!

This thread makes me wonder why anyone that never puts the pedal down bought a WRX or STi.

Also makes you wonder about the people that claim they never speed in a WRX or STi, when WOT in 2nd gear puts you way above the speed limit in seconds.

Not saying everyone sits there doing 15mph+ over the speedlimit, but its naive to think WRX/STi owners don't occasionally blast over the limit for a couple seconds.

It's a lot of fun, but I don't like to floor it when I'm above 4th gear. I feel like something might pop

Several times a week. Car is still new to me though 3 mos old. I suspect after having it for longer I will do it less, but right now there's nothing like turning the knob and mashing the loud pedal.
