Smile Blaze Yellow from Farrish?

Hey, I've been out of loop for a while....sorry guys. Anyway, I have a couple of questions. 1) I was cruising into work last week, heading down the Fairax County Parkway, pushing my 2.5 to its legal limit, when out from the shadows came a Blaze Yellow WRX to tempt me. We jockeyed for position down the parkway, until I bailed off on to the Dulles Toll Road. I was wondering if this person is a member of this site. If so, the Blaze Yellow looks great. 2) I noticed the Farrish badge on the back of the WRX (Naturally, I was behind this person most of the way!) If you are on this site, how was your experience at Farrish? I ask beacause I am slated to get my Rally Blue WRX this week. I was wondering a) are you expriencing the dreaded CEL issue? b) how did Farrish treat you?

The history: I went in to Farrish a month ago with my fiancee looking for Subies. In the same day, at the same time, we bought her a Legacy GT Limited, and I ordered my WRX. The Legacy was on the lot, so after some prep, we prepared to take it home. Upon my inspection, I noticed some leftover cosmoline on the passenger side fender. I had my sales guy (remaining nameless for now) take it back to have it buffed. It took him three tries to get it all out...DUH! If I can see it, can't the guys in the body shop? Once I moved on to inspecting the intereior, I noticed TWO RAZOR BLADES! One in the center section of the rear leather seating, and one on the floor board behind the driver seat. These were obvious leftovers from the window sticker removal. THat could have been a very nasty incident if I weren't so picky! Also, there were NO REAR FLOORMATS. The salesguy went and swiped them out of the only other GT on the lot. Needless to say, I was slightly pissed. I was wondering if anyone else here has had any similar dealings with Farrish. I am now stuck waiting on my WRX, worried not only about the CEL and alignment issues noted here, but also about how am I going to restrain myslef from going postal if I am treated poorly, AGAIN. I mean, buying two cars in the same day at the same time deserves a little courtesy, wouldn't you think??? There is a another interesting caveat to this, but my fingers are tiring....

Any thoughts guys/girls???

Thanks...whew, I feel much better.

hey, sorry to hear about your bad experience.. i bought my subie there about year ago, and had decent service. well, it was down right fantasic compared to the subaru dealership in rockville..the sales manager.. i think his name was rod linares did a great job. i don't know if he's still there, but if he is, ask for him. he didn't try and pull this shady crap on me.. he was very upfront about everything, but then i also went through a buying service. but one things that kinda pissed me off is that the lady in charge of financing was a moron. either she was too stupid to do her job, or else she was trying to get some extra cash, but i advise you not go settle for the finance package they give you. i found another one right afterwards that saved me a whole crapload of cash!! better luck next time =)

I tried to buy my RS from Farrish since they are very close to me. However I was not at all impressed by them. The sales guy did not seem interested at all in selling me a car. I don't know if he thought I wasn't serious or something, but he did not seem to want to deal with me. They gave me a rather high price and refused to negotiate it. I was sick of dealing with them so I went out to Dulles Subaru in Leesburg. Mario at Dulles Subaru was very interested in making a deal. As soon as I told him what I was looking for he ran into the lot and pulled the car around, and told me to take it out for as long as I wanted. In the end I got a car with leather and an alarm for $100 more than the price I got from Farrish. Anyway I had a very good experience with Dulles and would recommend them. If you can avoid going to Farrish I would do that as well, after my experience I won't even take my car in for service there.

I purchased my RS from there last April, and have had nothing but problems with them since. I have had to call Subaru of America customer service and have them force the dealership to do warranty work on my car. There is service work on Saturday's for all of the cars they sell except for Subaru. They have service writers with attitudes, and to top it all off, when I purchased the car nobody on the Subaru sales floor knew what a 22B was.

Great...I had similar problems in dealing with Stohlman, which Is why I opted for Farrish. They are also VERY near my finacee's house. Oh well. I guess I should have sucked it up and hiked out to Dulles. I actually bought my RS in Richmond, where my family lives. The buying experince was fine, but as soon as I was out the door, I was just another number. Not as bad as Northern Virgnia, but still bad. It seems that up here there are so many people, and so many people buying cars, that dealers don't feel the need to give even a DECENT level of customer service. "If you don't like us, then FINE, someone else will be right in behind you." That's the attitude. I am gonna have a word or two with Mr. Farrish once my WRX comes in. I WISELY made them give me a right of refusal on the WRX, with a refundable deposit of $500. I ordered tons of options, and they made sure I realized how "upset" they would be if I didn't take delivery. This sucks. I already have two files with SOA with Stohlman, I'm hoping I won't have to force another with Farrish!
