Default SLC Sighting, anyone here?

I saw a blue WRX Saturday afternoon on State St near the Southtown mall... it had what looked like a yellow flame/fireball graphic on the side. Was that anyone here? Just wondering...

Cool man! That was me sitting at the stoplight headed south... you gave me the "wave" and I tried to wave back but didnt know if you saw me or not. I was totally zoned out and was caught by surprise by a fellow WRX, so I had some lag time. lol Your car looks good, man!

MontanaFlash, was that you racing the blonde haired girl in the blue wrx wagon on I-80 last Thursday? If so, it looked kinda like you used part of the right shoulder to make that pass at the 80/215 split.

Snowman,
That wasn't me racing on the interstate. I only race myself on the twisties. BTW when's the next drive gonna be?

03,
Thanks for the compliment man. I don't think everyone is going to like my car. I took a chance on the graphics and lights and I am really pleased myself, but can see where some of the purist "smooth and lowered" crowd wouldn't like it. I'm going for more of a race/rally look. A little flash, but hopefully not too much i.e. "rice" category.

Sorry about the mis-identification then. Glad to hear it wasn't you since the guy I saw was a bit reckless.

I could not make it. My car got out of MG at like 7:30, and I was famished. Maybe next time. Lets plan this in advance though.

I'm curious why your car was in there. Mods or service of some kind.

I was also curious about what dealer you guys go to in Salt Lake, or what do you do for you scheduled services. I ask because my 15,000 is coming up soon.

I also wish I lived closer to SLC so I could come with you guys at least once, but I would be even farther in the rear than 2003WRX.

Thanks Joel

Silverja,
Don't feel so bad about living in ogden. You've got the best drive around up there in my opinion. I've been searching high and low and while I can't claim to have covered every road in the state, but I've been trying!

It got lowered, by the the way of Tein Hi tec springs. I take my car to Nate Wade, which is where I bought it. They are real cool there. Asking me who does all the work on my car, how fast does it go. What kind of turbo i have. All the time doing warranty work!

-NORSE

PS Ogden aint that far, we can plan it so that you are able to make it down.

I'm sure one of these times I will make it down, but for now I'm usually really busy with homework and other things.

I was hopeing to go to the Cobb party, but I'll be in Indiana so again I won't be able to come down.

This is good to hear, man. I bought my car there too! The sales staff/managers were awesome and it was the easiest car deal I've ever done. They just brought me over to the manager's counter, flipped the conputer monitor around and started dialing in #s with the invoice laying right there. I will be sure to use them for all my service even though I live kind of far from there...

Dude, I spotted you again. You were turning right out of the parking lot by Carl's Jr onto Highland and I was sitting in the drive thru....

Oh man I saw 2 Black WRX's yesterday. One with the full C-west kit. Another pretty much stock. Then I saw a red one with an old lady driving.

Yeah, about 2 minutes after I saw Montana I pulled out of the lot and another blue WRX turned in front of me up the road a bit...

Yep Yep our cars sure are becoming very popular very quick. It's kinda odd how you rarely even see a GC8 but the WRX I see them much more offten. At least they aren't as popular as hondas. Thank goodness I didn't want a trendy car. Sorry if offended anyone just my opionion.

Driving home from taking pics of my car and I see another silver REX with chrome wheels! Told him about the meet tomorrow. Hopefully he will show.
