Default Gunz thread! Third mag!

Okay, fellas, as you can see, our second Gunz thread got closed. So I started another one. Follow the simple rules and this one won't get closed too!

NO SALES.

If you have a gun for sale, you can't sell it here. It's against NASIOC rules. You'll either get our thread closed down or get a massive amount of points. Remember that the folks who run NASIOC are based in the Northeast, so they're not going to be as bully about firearms as us. We're probably all interested in what you have for sale, but you'll get us shut down if you try to post it for sale on TXIC.

WATCH YOUR LINKS.

Don't post links to things on sale. It can be seen as unpaid vending. Feel free to say where you found something (i.e. ammo, parts) for sale, but don't link directly to it. But if you want to ask the opinion of your fellow gun enthusiasts about a product, that's fine. But no "hey, go here to buy this" type of links.

So just be smart about it and we can keep our thread going this time. Show your latest acquisitions, pictures of your range day, dangerous beasts you've hunted, etc. But don't show us a picture of you posing with Hogzilla with a note that says that the weapon of destruction you used is for sale.

NO ASKING HOW MUCH SOMETHING COSTS AND WHERE TO BUY IT

I'm happy that you want a gun. Good for you. I, and no one else, can sell you one through NASIOC. That violates the rules of the forum and will get the thread shut down, so don't do it. Please do not ask me or anyone one for pricing on guns, links to them for sale, or where you can find them. That's tantamount to vending, and is not allowed.

PM me if you have any questions about what you can and can't do. I'll try to explain things as best I can.

Luckygunner.com has 38 special in stock for the best price I've seen in a while.

Target Master is a decent range just inside Garland off 635 and Miller. If you're more downtown I would say DFW Gun Range if they have rebuilt it

Thanks, but I need primers for reloading. Sitting on like 500 rounds of XTP's and can't reload them.

new thread needs more of a gun-themed "part [blah]" segment... like "3rd mag!" or "re-reloaded!", "round three!", "third round!",... something spicy.

The gun threads were the only reason I come to nasioc anymore. I'm not a fan of the rules they put in place so I'm out. Most of you know how to get ahold of me outside of here anyway. Enjoy yourself guys, and stay safe.

I think the rules in this forum are no sales of any kind whatsoever, even if it's car parts. For sale stuff goes in the for sale forum. Gun sales aren't allowed on plenty of forums. We have a member here who has a giant site dedicated to local gun sales and I'd rather go through his site for that stuff anyway, this is more just for our local enthusiasts to BS.

Does Gibson's still allow FMJ? I'd like to go through the last half box of FMJ I have and it isn't allowed at Top Gun any longer. Thinking I may go Sunday since I have beerfest on Saturday.

Yeah, they still allow FMJ. Everything but tracers.

DFW Gun Range will be fully rebuilt in July, from what I hear.

Target Masters is ok, just pay attention to surroundings, the clientèle can be a little iffy sometimes. (trashy with no concept of firearms safety, I've had loaded guns pointed at me a couple of times)

Not something I keep in stock. You can find them out there, but they're scarce and expensive.

Yes very hard to find. Smith and Wesson told me to look up dealers on their website and call them

Went to Gibson's today to break in the can. Looking at it threaded on the rifle is ridiculous, but I couldn't help but grin each time I shot it. Groups were the same as without so no change in accuracy. POI shift was less than an inch at 100 yards and was perfectly repeatable so dialing in 200 was spot on. I fired off some subs just to see what those were like and all you can hear is the firing pin and the bullet hitting the target
