Default Tire pressure

just put Michellin Pilot Super Sports on in 18" They were saying recommended tire pressure is 37 f and 34 rear .... Can anyone comment on that . Do the new STI come with 18" If they do what does the manual say ?? anyone ...

On my 05 STi I run 36 f and 34 rear and 18s.

My MY11 GV's door for the SP600's from Dunlop say

34 front 32 rear.

however, different tires have different pressures which work better for them. The door label is *specifically* for the Dunlop SP600s technically, though should work for most brands as long as the size/performance rating is the same.

I always change to my liking at the end of the day:

for my DZ101s, I always ran -1~2 PSI than the door asked for
for my Starspecs, I ran on the dot
for my GS-D3s, I always ran -1~2 PSI than the door asked for
for my MXMv4s, I always ran +1~2 PSI than the door asked for
for my RS-3s, I always ran a -1~2 PSI than the door asked for

I actually run less for the more higher perf tires, and any normal car with normal all seasons, I run higher pressure. All personal preference if it's within 1-2 PSI.

Putting too much air in would worn out the centre of your tire faster.
