My car is lightly modified, but I need help because it's too loud.

Do you guys think if I play Kenny G instead of driving to San Francisco that will help out with the exhaust volume while in 3rd gear?
San Fran?

Kenny G?

Man, you gotta play the Dead when you're in SF. Have some respect, man.

Lol this cracks me up. I built a badass car now I don't like it :'(

Problems solved: sell your built car and buy a stock STi. Because aparently you have a built gtr and the STi is your "winter beater"

Honestly, if you think your catless/Q300 setup is way too loud, I don't think any aftermarket catback is going to reduce the sound enough. I would sell your Q300 and buy a stock STi catback or fabricate a custom exhaust with a huge resonator and a quiet muffler. The Q300 isn't even that loud of an exhaust so you can imagine if you had an Invidia N1 on there.

You must be wot everwhere you go bc I have ELH. DP, and exhaust with a non resonated mid pipe and cruising it is much quieter than with the oem manifolds. I don't even hear the exhaust on the highway over road noise and radio.

The reason I called your car quiet is bc I have 2 STi's running the invidia N1 w catless dp's. Heck I have a supercharged miata that is louder than a q300! Subarus are loud, adding a built block DOES increase noise at idle, but not really in the exhaust note, more actual engine noise. Maybe try the borla exhaust, they are quiet, not sure how good they are though...

Hey guys I have a similar problem. I put 2x12" subs in my car then slammed it. Now I don't like driving it because there's too much bass and I can't get into certain driveways, in addition to the rough ride. What should I do?

So many of you are so incredibly useless. Why even bother posting in my thread if you don't have anything to say aside from snide remarks or are butthurt about one thing or another.

I think everyone needs a timeout from NASIOC.

Maybe he'll buy nasioc and ban us all.

Or he could put a down payment on a sense of humor...

Why do you have such a modified car yet know nothing about it. If you got 25k or whatever in your car like you say, then you shouldn't be asking such stupid questions.

Personally if you want a downpipe with a cat in it I like COBBs design as the cat isn't in the engine bay. Keeping heat down.

Consider adding/welding on a motorcycle (or small engine) exhaust muffler to the EWG dump tube. It's likely most of the unwanted sound comes from that pipe, which is echoed off the road surface back into the cabin. It'd be a relatively cheap experiment to test that hypothesis.

What? I WANT IT QUIETER. IS THE LOCATION I PLACE THE CAT GOING TO BE AN ISSUE? IS THERE SOMETHING QUIETER THAN THE Q300? How are these stupid questions. Jesus christ. The Cobb DP doesn't work because I have a 3" V-Band exit from the turbo housing, not the 5 bolt like most people make downpipes for.

dumb tube is recirculated. Majority of the noise comes out the tail pipe.

Buy a car that's already fast and not as loud, Mr.Moneypants.
