Default Carbon Fiber Spoiler and Trunk Hole Location Question 02-07 WRX

Sorry for the length, I just wanted to make sure everyone understands what it is that I am asking and what my dilemma is.

Car: 2006 WRX with OEM WRX spoiler
Car use: Track use and spirited driving. 5-10 Track days a year. Car is still registered for street use.

I am in the final stages of my build for my 06 WRX and started to focus on the exterior. I have been looking at a couple different carbon fiber wings to put on the car and the two that I have my heart set on are the: (in order of preference)

Megan Racing Carbon Fiber Spoiler
Product Number: CFS-STI
Import Image Racing link-
http://www.importimageracing.com/meg...u-wrx-sti.html

Megan Racing link-
http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...d=615&catid=57

OR

APR Performance GTC-200 Adjustable Wing
Product Number: AS-105914
APR Performace link-
http://aprperformance.com/index.php?...d=36&Itemid=44

Rally Sport Direct Link-
http://www.rallysportdirect.com/APR-...-STI-2002-2007

I prefer the megan spoiler over the APR one for a couple of reasons. The first being that it is half the price of the APR spoiler. Also I feel like the Megan racing wing looks a better IMO. Although i would have to say that I think the APR spoiler probably has better performance than the megan racing one but i have no proof to back that claim up, other than word of mouth and detail listed on APR's website vs almost no detail on Megan's site.

The problem is that a lot of websites have the Megan Racing Spoiler (part number: CFS-STI) listed as fitting all 02-07 WRX's as a "direct fit to your WRX stock spoiler holes and no drilling is required" Plus all brackets and mounting hardware is included. That is all the websites except Megan Racings (manufacturer of the spoiler) official website which has it listed as only fitting the 02-03 WRX only.

First I checked Unabomber's Manifesto, then I searched on NASIOC to see if anyone else had put this wing on a 06 WRX. After i couldn't find anything i went ahead and called megan racing. I finally spoke to a young woman who said she wasn't sure and stated the webpage said 02-03 only. After that I called the guys at import image racing and they confirmed it would fit, so did a couple of other websites such as A1-Motorsports, and Tuner-sports. I then called the guys over at Rally sport Direct for another opinion and they said that they were not sure if all the stock WRX spoilers were the same from 02-07 therefore they couldn't confirm that the stock spoiler hole locations were the same. They thought that it was briefly changed for some models during that period then changed back but couldn't remember which years it was changed for. My theory is that if the same APR spoiler that fits a 02 or 03 and a 06 WRX that the megan spoiler should do the same.

So if I order the Megan racing wing and it won't fit it doesn't mean i can't still put the wing on. I could always cover up the stock holes, paint them over, drill new holes and mount the spoiler. I would have to hire a body shop to do it because i have no experience with that type of work. Also the only website with the wing in stock couldn't confirm if they would accept a return if the original packaging was open and the spoiler had been assembled and mounted.

So it basically comes down to if the megan spoiler doesn't fit, to make it fit will cost almost as much, if not more than the APR spoiler so I will end up just getting the APR instead.

My question(s) to you are:
-does anyone know for sure if all the 02-07 stock WRX spoiler holes are in the same locations?
-has anyone seen the megan spoiler or the APR spoiler in-person or has it on your personal car?
-can link any pictures you have of them?
-Can any one tell me which spoiler will better suit the cars needs?
-any advice?

Thanks for reading and any help you can give me i have been researching this for far too long. If you don't like carbon fiber spoilers no need to post just move one to the next thread.

from using the search feature here on the forums here I have come up with:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=218667

^Scoobysport, Syms, and UK300 wings fit factory holes.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=511921

^C-West V1, CF STi

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=627448

^APR GT300, Scoobysport, Do-Luck CF Low Version, S202

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=367994

^C-West, Kaminari, Gruppe-S CF GT, "Version 7" Version 6 Replica, Possibly Wings West

http://www.aprperformance.com/index....ask=view&id=36

^APR GTC-200 "Mounting bases cover factory spoiler/wing holes (WRX Only), will not cover STI spoiler holes"

http://www.intakeone.com/Subaru_inta...RX_GTwing.html

^Cusco GT Wing "An adjustable single wing bolt-on type using the OEM wing mounting holes prevents the need for drilling extra holes."

If your building a go fast car, why do you care what it looks like.

The Megan is a few components slapped together with no real testing or r&d behind it, while the APR is the exact opposite.

If you REALLY wanted to take racing seriously, you'd just order something from Kognition.

I have both the S202 and a Megan replica. I just got the real one so I plan on selling the replica soon. The mounting holes for the WRX OEM wing are exactly the same regardless of year. The only variable is the placement of the holes for the wire for the third brake light and the safety cable that bolts the wing to the trunk supports.
