Wondering if the Op or anyone else can help me out. I have the same exact setup as the Op but I can't enter remapping mode.

Axxess instructions say to hold the Volume Up button for at least 20 Seconds and the Led will turn red. Mine turns green and never becomes red.

Also when first auto reading everything the axxess reads my pick up and hangup as the LED goes out after 3 seconds but the buttons do nothing when in radio mode or any mode.

iirc i ran into the same issue w/ the 20 second hold. I just performed a hard reset (using that tiny button) and i believe it went into program mode from there.

So you programmed everything manually?

I would try a hard reset and manual programming of all the buttons. There's a list in the ASWC instruction booklet with the correct order (skip non-applicable buttons).

gave it a shot and no dice. Still has a solid Green LED. Talked to Axxess and they said that I "need" to tap into the factory harness and not SVXDC's, I don't buy it.

I have contacted Axxess and they claim I can't have the module connected to your harness and is has to be directly connected to the vehicle, however People on NASIOC have had success.

Issues:

I can't the the ASWC-1 to get into program mode
When I hold the Volume Up button for at least 20 seconds the LED lights up Green not RED as stated in the manual
I thought maybe I'll give it a shot with the GREEN LED instead of the red. I can actually reprogram some buttons to work
The Hook Pickup, Hook End and the PTT on the steering wheel can take on preset scrolling
Cannot reprogram the Mode button on the Steering wheel to do anything but MUTE
When I restart the car after this it goes into AUTO Program mode again.

I tried a Hard reset with the little button, the LED again lights up GREEN not red. What do I do?

BROWN/BLACK wire on my 20-pin harness (pin 14) to the other BLACK ground wires (same as above)
ASWC's GREEN/ORANGE wire to the BROWN/RED wire on my 20-pin harness (pin 4)
ASWC's BLACK/GREEN wire to the BROWN/BLUE wire on my 20-pin harness (pin 13)

Making progress, I Still get the GREEN LED vs said RED LED but I am able to get the buttons to learn. Question, is your MODE button on the steering wheel able to be used to switch modes?

My mode switches as it should however I still can't get my phone buttons to work. I never used them much so I quit worrying....for now.

Question for you guys with this or a similar HU. I was told today my bluetooth connection was pretty bad and I couldn't hear them at all. I mounted my Mic in the same spot as the OP. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yeah I got the green led instead of the red too. I did get my mode button to switch modes. However, occasionally it decides to att instead for whatever reason but mostly works. I couldn't program the buttons to mute or power on/off though.

Also, to install it, you use the metal brackets off the stock unit and not the plastic one used with the stock bezel.
I really like this but....TOO EXPANSIVE.....$96.20 for a din????

You could get the bezel off a Forester with Tom Tom navigation for ~$60. The part number for this is 66065SC130.

More info here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...31&postcount=7.

Huh, I've been told it sounds like the window is open. I guess I'll have to okay with it some more. Also, the volume doesn't turn up very loud for some reason. I could barely hear the person who called me.

Maybe double check your connections and wiring. My callers are around volume 8 I believe.

Is the volume level controlled by the normal HU volume or the small bar that pops up when you receive a call on the right side of the screen? I tried turning it up while I was talking but it didn't seem to make much difference.

FWIW, when I tested it sitting in the garage everything was loud and clear. The last call was when I was on the highway but my windows were closed.

I was confused about this same thing. It seems to be roughly tied to the normal radio/music volume more than the volume button in the little phone BT menu during a call. Turning that up and down didn't seem to do much for me either.

Does anyone know if the stock Subaru SAT antenna can be used with the head unit?

Default Parking Brake Bypass for AVH-X5500BHS on Chevy Vehicleq

I recently got this system installed in vehicle and looking for best way to bypass parking brake to view DVD while in motion. Do I need to purchase anything additional to accomplish this or can the wiring configuration be altered to get it working??
