Default anyone in Illinois please read

I'm going to be purchasing a 2005 sti on Saturday and I was wondering if there is anyone that knows a lot about these cars that I could possibly meet up with to look at it and make sure it's all good. Would be nice to have someone that knows more about them have a second look besides just me.

Take it to a mechanic and have a compression test done. Can't tell much just by looking

You really, really, really need to get a pre-purchase inspection done by a professional mechanic who knows Subarus really well. Although I've built engines, full racecars from the frame up and have virtually every tool known to man in my home garage, when I bought a WRX, I went to Wicked Innovation and paid them money to look at the car for me. If you don't do this, go ahead and start your thread today "Help, I just bought an STi and it is making this loud noise".
