Default boss audio phantom amp powering up problem

So i have a brand new boss audio amp. When i power up. The power light comes on for a brief second then dims to nothing. I've got 12.8v at the amp. Good ground new rcas. And continuity in my remote. But no power to the remote at the amp. But even if i bridge 12v to the remote input. The amp does the same thing... Any help?

Disconnect your rca's, speaker out. See if amp still responds the same. If no, short to speaker. If yes, amp may be bad. (It is Boss)
And to ask the same 'ol question. Where is your ground? Is it a good ground? I've seen amps power on, just to shut right off. Problem, 2 foot ground/ran to upper trunk/painted metal exc..

And a side note,
I don't know what kind of toxic circuit boards are used in boss amps. But when you pop a trunk of a car with a fried boss amp, that smell. Addictive.. Cocaine like!
