I just ordered a set of these today to put on my 02 wrx wagon. I don't expect much but I just need something to get me through the winter as my front struts are badly blown. I bought the Ultimos which were still cheaper the gr2 struts and new springs. I don't plan on slamming the car or even dropping it at all in the winter but once I get them on I'll write a review and then update it as I use them more.

I bought Raceland coils for my bugeye sedan and they r actually pretty good.. Something to just chill with and have a comfortable ride then go for it.. Theres another thread about this, I'll try to message u it. People say there cheap but a Coilover is a Coilover, they do the job

Most people only need a decent strut/spring combo. Don't waste your money on some cheap coilovers

Ive had normal racelands on a forester, wrx and a mk4 jetta and if your not going to the track, they serve their purpose and go low. My cars were all dailys and i was pleased for the price. But i say keep it on the streets and not track. Also adjust the bottom bracket for the height. Not spring perches.

I read many reviews from the VW scene. Just like you said, racelands are good but dont trrack them. Now, since the Ultimos are beefed up, would u recommend them for the very occasional canyon run or track event? i daily my wrx wagon but i want to track my car once or twice this year. once or twice a year i go for a canyon run. other then that, its street and highway use. i would assume that with the beefer welds and higer spring rates, they would hold up a little better then the original raceland coilovers.

^^ Me too. I emailed the guys at raceland the higher spring rates would be very beneficial to the wagon. I have read that people who own them, like them alot. but just like with any product, there defective ones. even $2k coil overs break. but does anyone want to admit that their $2k coil overs failed? No. But once someone breaks their cheapo set of coil overs, all the haters come aboard and talk so much crap.

If you never owned a set, dont say sheeit about them. That is all.
