mileage is not just a number, the second it rolls over 200k it's gonna take a permanent drop in value unfortunately. Still though, for a clean car like that I would go with your gut.

true but if I don't sell it, pay it off and have fun with it. Enjoying it is all I want out of it. Obviously, like any car there are going to be parts needing to be fixed, but luckily I dont have to pay a shop to fix and I can do it myself. Saves tons of money and if I dont know how to do it, learning is always a fun step/process it is definitely super clean. A lot cleaner then most wrx of similar or newer years I have seen

Not really. Here is AZ, as in many states, you don't pay sales tax on your trade in value. So if he gives me $11k in trade, that's $1000 less in sales tax for me to pay, netting me $12K as opposed to paying that $11K in cash.

That is correct, but they are probably "over allowing" for your trade by taking the money from other parts of the deal.

Also, the cost of recon of your trade would bump it at least another $500 - $1000 , not that they would have to recondition it at all, but just the minimum they have to spend on everything to put a car on the lot.

Looks good. Congrats.

Don't worry about the mileage. Of you lose the motor, EJ207 swaps are easy to get and install and are great upgrades. Of you lose a trans, 6 speed swap it. Either way, with the money saved over the other one, you'll have money for repairs and you're putting money into a great platform rather than a junk pile. The car needs to look good to justify upgrades and this one looks great.

Also, take those headlights apart and paint the housings black. The silver looks like hell. Don't tint them, do it right and paint the insides of the housings... Or get JDM HID's...

The car has really nice HID's and next week Im getting it tinted all around (5% rear and 20% front), taking headlights apart the correct way and blacking all of them out properly. Also, if I don't like the HKS high power exhaust I may take it to FAT to have a straight pipe put on it

Perhaps, but I don't think so in this case. We agreed on $500 under invoice even before I walked in the door. He then asked me if I was trading in my car. I said probably not because I wanted more than he could give me. He asked how much, I said $10k, car he immediately said okay (forehead palm slap, damn, I asked too little). He was open enough to tell me that after his service dept puts $700 in to it he'll put it on his lot for 0ver $14k. He was thrilled when he saw my clear bra too.

That's awesome, sounds like you did it right then and bent them over the table.

You must have lots of spit. Very impressive.

So is the car! Thats gorgeous and I hope that when I start collecting Subies like some crazy cat woman, I come across the good fortune you have. Well done for not giving into the other options. Enjoy it

Massive amounts of spit indeed haha well it was such a well taken care of car from the previous owner, I didn't have to do too much to make it shine like a dream I love it and its definitely a great ride. You can't even tell it has 194,xxx miles since it drives like a new wrx does The other options were terrible and still both dealerships are asking way to much and I'm happy I found this one for a great price. Lets all meet sometime and grab a bite to eat or something

What did it put down? Or are those the current #s in your avatar?

My leggy put down 331/336 on 91

Is that your BOV? I think I need one to go with my EWG nastiness.

That's a sharp looking yellow Rex!
