Default Warranty Expiring...First Mods

My warranty is about to expire on my 2012 WRX Sedan....I want to still keep the reliability of a stock vehicle but wouldn't mind adding some power. What are my best options?

Thanks

Stage 2. 'Big' power increase from stock, safe, pretty much need for everything else.

Turboback + tune. Search it up. You'll gain about 25% more HP just from this. Fuel economy doesn't drop really either.. unless you're flooring it everywhere from the added fun.

Your best option is to keep it stock.

Less power............More power
More reliable...........Less reliable

If you want to move to the right, put on your big boy pants.

Perrin!

Conveiniently they even offer a stage 2 kit.

Perhaps though, you should meet up with your locals and get a look at what they have, listen to it, ride along, ect. Perrin might be to loud for you, or maybe too quiet, ect. Always the best way. Go to Perrins website to get a look.

Stage 2's don't really come in "kits" per se. It's just a downpipe, a cat-back, sometimes an intake, and either a professional tune, or a Cobb AccessPort with an e-tune or an off-the-shelf (OTS) map from the Cobb website.

So the question then becomes, who makes the best quality hardware and who are the best tuners.

Hardware: there is no right answer (except for avoid Agency Power. For the love of all that is holy, avoid them at all costs). Search the multitude of threads discussing exhausts/intakes etc. and find one you like the sound of. Start here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2119289

Tuners: Hit up your local chapter and ask around, read some reviews, make a decision on whether you want a pro/e-tune/OTS, and then take the plunge.

Also, as Unabomber conveniently advertises below his name, fire him a PM with the picture of a hot male police officer or fireman and a list of what you've decided on buying to see if he can do you any favors on price.

I can point you to what I did after I got over warranty fears (with full knowledge of the risks):

"stage 2" parts:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2472493

Protune at IAG in MD (highly recommend since you are in the MAIC area).

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2478080

Outside of power (and before it even), I would recommend swaybars/endlinks and a short shifter/bushings.

What is your budget? What are your expectations?

I test drive a WRX with the SPT yesterday. It's not too loud in the cab...is the Perrin louder in the cab?

I have the perrin quadtip on a sedan. The drone is minimal and the tone is awesome. Really aggressive sounding at WOT

Do you have any pics of it installed? Or a video from inside the cab at highway speed?

Ok guys...So it's either Perrin, Greddy Evo3, or SPT...which would you recommend? Also, which one fits the tightest? I know a lot of them hang down to low and can get caught on speed bumps, rapid declines, etc.

Thanks
