Default Vf52 in 08 wrx

I just bought a vf52 turbo for my 08 wrx. Any suggestions for running it on every thing else stock besides exhaust intake and accessport?

A real Protune / E-Tune should be Priority one and +1 what Kevin Suggested, But Best to finalize things with your tuner.

I'd research before buying a turbo as to what you need. Or now, since you've wasted money, go find and talk to a tuner.

A VF-52 is the most logical upgrade for a stock 2008 WRX. There are a ton of options for additional mods but the most important thing is that you will need to tune for that turbo. Going to a local tuner is good advice, however if you want to keep costs down and still be able to enjoy your purchase I suggest you check out torqued performance on the web. I have used several e-tunes from Eric Minehart and could not be more pleased. There you will find a list of the mods you need for his maps and he is the only one I know that e-tunes a 2008 WRX with a vf-52.

Thanks a ton guys
I mean my stock turbo was smoked.

I've done some reading on the vf52 and to what I've read it was my best option for what I had. Now pretty much I have an 09 without a tune.

For an etune what about running a Cobb preset map for an 09 until I make it to a tuner. To my knowledge there are none for a good 80 miles in any direction. So I need something to not blow my car up. Haha.

So bigger tmic, fuel pump, 650cc injectors, any other ideas on mods?

I'd call said tuner to see what they have to say about it.

They can best help you, as well as possibly getting a safer baseline map to get you more safely to the tuner.

Not sure why you have two threads going at once for the same topic, but DO NOT try and flash an 09 map onto your 08 ECU. They have different parameters and you are going to either brick your ECU or destroy your engine. Your safest bet is to flash the 2.52 ROM, run some logs and send them back to Eric for adjustments, asuming you are using the stock fuel pump, injectors, and TMIC.

make sure you read the install notes. you have to have cobb accesstuner race software. you need to copy and paste the map into ap manager from the emailed map link.
