I am the proud owner of a 30k jdm wrx motor (not sti) is going in an 2002 bug eye. From what the guys that I got it from are telling me it is plug and play. It is a 2.0 turbo same as what was on the car. Anything special I need to do or watch out for while install thanks guys

After more research I found out that the motor I purchased is a jdm wrx block and it has avcs ( who knew I didn't ) talked to Alex ( motion labs )and he said no big deal and can be tuned to work very well with out it but if I want it I can get a jdm ecu and a kit from someone called ia performance and have full work avcs. I understand what active valve control system is but is it really worth the added cost to make it work.

If your going to use a decent sized turbo or 20g or so maybe even a 18g avcs will work wonders

Contact a vender that does that should not be to hard to find if I had to guess $250-400 but I have never looked into it tbh. You will get alot more low end torque and less spool time with avcs but it will be more of a pain to get it all set up so its a trade off.

Hmmmm guess I will call my tuner and get an estimate. Sad thing is this is my daily driver I don't want to sink a **** load of money in it due to my sti build and I still have a stock tranny
