Default 2013 WRX engine ticking...what is it?

Hey guys I know this thread has been mentioned a few times but I just wanted to make sure, w an actual audio clip, that the engine ticking from my brand new 2013 WRX w 1500k is normal. The noise is usually audible during idle, and often increase w it's speed / cycle when I give it gas. if I HAD to guess, I'd say it sounds like a combination of fuel injectors and something else...but I don't know what else bc I'm somewhat unfamiliar with boxers. Maybe lifters or something?

Here's a clip, thanks in advance for the help.

the ticking is def in the vid, and very audible too. It just blends in w the engine note well and doesn't QUITE sound like ticking in the vid, but that cyclic noise is indeed the "tick."

it's your warranty reminding you to go to the dealership.

thanks for the info guys. I too believe it's the injectors, combined w another noise. Here is another video (not mine) of what the noise sounds like. However, the idiot in this video claimed he found a problem, but i HIGHLY doubt my car has the same issue as his, being a coincidental bent intake valve... Heres the noise as best as I can describe it:

it's that simple "tick." It's most noticeable at idle, or in my garage, esp since I dont have exhaust or anything yet. When I give it gas the noise increases and spins a little faster w the RPMs. However I rarely hear it while actually driving, and its mainly only audible in the low RPM range or idle. Car seems to operate and drive absolutely fine

if its a 2013. bring it to the dealer. My vw made that noise when the water pump was ready to explode. that hi-pitched noise reminds me of the pump.

thats alot louder than the normal fuel rail tick

Did you ever find out what it was? My 2012 wrx is doing the same thing! It's not loud but real noticeable at idle an low rpms, I'm getting sick of it lol help me let me know what they said when you brought it in to the dealer? Or if you didn't what you did to stop it. Thanks
