Default Wheels stolen in Worcester, MA

Just figured I'd give everyone a heads up if you come across cheap 2011 WRX wheels wrapped with 235/45/17 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec rubber that someone wants to sell quick, they are more than likely mine.

Sometime between 4/27/2013, 10:45pm - 4/28/2013, 6:00am they were stolen off of my car in the parking lot of the Residence Inn Worcester located on Plantation Street. Don't know why how or why my vehicle was targeted as the hotel parking isn't even visible from the main street, and behind the hotel is just a giant condo complex (which where I was parked would not have been visible if you were traveling up the dead-end side street):

To make matters worse is that I was parked five parking spots to the right of the main entrance of the hotel, and they were still able to steal my wheels without any employees noticing until one came in at 6am and began making phone calls to police and whatnot.

If anyone finds a set of 2011 WRX wheels for sale in the area and you spot the damage in the following pictures, they are off of my car:

Second picture the red arrow is where the tire shop screwed up and there is just bare metal. Other than that one wheel the rest are in perfect condition.

Blehh, was great to get a wake-up call from the hotel informing me the police were there and needed to talk to me.

sounds like someone at the hotel knows more than they're telling, especially if you're not from there and the car wasn't visible from the street. Just my .02

Bet that's the last time you'll ever travel and leave your car overnight in Worcester. SMH. People are scumbags

I feel the same sentiments with this guy. Someone's not talking. If this lot was as secluded as it were, either someone knew about the car being there, or this was just super unlucky.

In any case, I'm from Long Island, but I'll keep my eye out online for you.

Agreed. Someone in that hotel sniped you. Or a spotter saw you go into the lot that night on your way back. Although with that said that hotel is a pice of s*%t.... but it at least should have cameras facing the front of the hotel. Cops should have handled that already... I hope?

I'll keep an eye out for them.

Sorry bro, this angers me. I guess the popularity of subarus. Has turned them for a target like Hondas. I. Can't believe. No cameras or no one noticed.

There is no cameras at all pointing at the parking lot? I bet it was an employee or people they knew.

This is what I was leaning towards the more I thought about it. Either someone at the hotel working the night shift did it, or someone working there called up some friends to come and grab them.

Nope, no cameras at all which is awesome. Cop that was there basically told me I'm SOL, but in a nice way. Without cameras, and not being from the area or knowing anyone in the area there isn't much they can really do except write up a police report. The guy left his nasty ass greasy finger prints all over the car, but they aren't really going to do any good since there aren't any suspects. :/

For me it's just salt in the wound since I was right in front of the damn main entrance. It's like how the hell did no one see anything?? It's not like I was parked on the side of the building where there were no lights, I was right in front of the damn entrance.

Damn, you did get lucky getting your wheels back. I'm pissed off about it, but at the same time I'm just going to let my insurance company replace my bumpers and wheels and try not to get stressed out over it. Not much I can really do except never go back to Worcester I guess.

Nope, no cameras at all. The hotel's assistant manager said they were installing some "next month."

Sorry to hear. That's one of the nicer sections of Worcester too. You would think with how cheap security camera's are a major hotel would have a couple.

First you'd probably be beside your car. What with it not going anywhere.

I'm sure you've already filed with the police, make sure to stay on top of your insurance company as well. It's possible that they will talk with the hotel's insurance company about it. You never know.

In the end, it's just wheels, and stockers at that. But just material goods.
Still, must suck to be violated worse than Razor's mom.

Did you have wheel locks on them?

I live just a couple of miles away from here, in Shrewsbury. I'll keep an eye out.

Wheel locks dont do ****, especially on the stock wheels which have plenty of room around the lug pockets.

Nice tires, no locking lug nuts, and they would be easy to sell without anyone questioning them.

It's really not that surprising.

Thanks. I've been browsing CL while at work as well, but nothing yet. Whoever took them probably knew what they were and wanted them for their girlfriend's TC or some ****.

Honestly with all that has happened with this car in the last year and a half, I wish they just stole the damn thing. Or at least lit it on fire.

I've stayed before at the Beechwood that is 1/4 mile down the road multiple times and have had zero issues. It is a nice area which is why I chose the hotel, and this happening wasn't even a thought in my mind.

I have the police report number and put in a claim to my insurance company yesterday morning. Estimator is supposed to be out tomorrow to take a look at the damage done to the car. I'm going to speak to Marriott corporate to see if they will cover my deductible or at least comp my stay, or ****, at least offer something. I know they'll probably say I parked at my own risk, but those signs are bull****. I'm not one to go all lawyer and sue crazy because it's frivolous garbage the courts can do without, but I'd at least like to have my room comped, and I'll push for them to cover my deductible. Wishful thinking but I guess it'd at least be worth a few crocodile tears.

Pretty much what VD said. Wheel locks would have slowed them down but not stopped them unfortunately. There were nicer/more expensive cars in the parking lot than my WRX, so my car was the target and the wheels would have been taken regardless of what lugs/locks I had.

I did have wheel locks, but we had to take them off a couple months ago since the key went missing from my glovebox. Probably using the same method the thieves would have used.

Ive taken off wheel locks with my cordless impact (with just the 19mm socket I was using for the other lugs) unintentionally because I wasnt really paying attention.

yeah people suck. My car was keyed this weekend and it's going to cost me $1000 out of pocket to fix, just like that, because some dbag doesn't like that my car is nicer than his. People who are too lazy to get the things they want take it out on other people. Oh well

Cameras more than likely wouldn't have mattered either.

Friend of mine kept having fuel disappearing from the box truck @ his work. Then one day they finally got the kid on film and called the cops. He lived literally across the street and drove a diesel truck. They had clear video of him stealing the fuel then walking in the direction of his house, I was told he even still had the same cloths on and he pretty much told the cops, "you can't prove it". And the cops agreed and did nothing about it.

this makes me want to buy the rear veiw mirror stealth video recording system, it mounts on your rearveiw and takes continous video 360 around your car from the inside. I had it in my VW and caught the $%%hole kids who would key my car in highschool.
