Default reliabilty mods?

im going to be putting a vf39, sti blue injectors, and an sti inter cooler on my stage 2 03 wrx and i also wanted to increase my cars reliability. as of right now i plan on adding a air/oil separator, an ebsc and some gauges. i was also looking into an intercooler spray kit and an access port so i could have a safer tune for daily driving. does any one else know of any good mods that would help increase the reliability of my set up? any suggestions are apprieciated thanks

Instead of the accessport I would recomend getting a tactrix 2.0 cable and get a dyno/road/e - tune. If you want reliability then this is the way to go because the tune will specifically be for your car. Plus it'll end up costing around the same amount as an accessport and the ots maps are not very good.

Well you can't do any of that without an AP or opensource tune, so your order of operations is a bit off.

You also have to accept the fact that adding power to a car will never make it more reliable. If you want it to last as long as possible, just do maintenance and don't touch it.

An oversize oil pan with additional capacity is a fantastic place to start. Most autobahn-ready cars have a lot more than 5.2qts of oil...

Good oil that isn't prone to being consumed over any heavy usage or length of interval...sometimes not at all. (RT6 or similar).

Everything clean. Filters, sensors, hose junctions, belts, fluids. Being on top of everything about monthly helps. This is just my long term modded experience.

This. RT6 all day. I pray to it. Call me a believer. Just made the switch to e85 on my 06 wrx, doin alot of logging, alot of pulls. Checked my oil today, on the motha freakin dot man. Best feeling right there.

Doing everything you can to maintain these machines is priceless. And at the same time you love doing it. Especially if your doin it yourself.
/endrant

Also, opensource e-tune from Eric @ torqued performance. Never look back and worry bout it. F*** it, go e85...

Oil Pan (sti), good oil, And a solid tune. Adding performance parts decreases reliability. It's all about a tune.

Best reliability mod is a knowledgeable owner that is always checking fluid levels and using the best products in their car, plain and simple. When you do things to make your car more advanced than the average automobile, you must become more advanced than the average driver!

Using the term "best" product is debatable cuz the "best" product for u might not be the "best" for someone else .

1. want reliability.......stay stock and keep up with maintanence

2. want reliability ......install your own ****

3. What is a reliability mod?

4. intercooler sprayer for a safer tune; is the tune not safe without it?
