Default Debating on purchasing a WRX Wagon

So I happened to come across a 2005 black WRX wagon in almost excellent condition except for the fact that it has low compression across the cylinders (100). The mechanic told me it's looking like it needs a new short block so I'm just curious on how much I could expect to spend for parts and labor to have that done.

Did you ask the mechanic how much it would cost? That would be where I start. Then you can call other subaru performance shops, not the dealer, and ask them.

We don't know as there are 9000 variables to this. Get three quotes then KNOW.
