Default motor mounts won't go into place

Anyone have any tips on getting these to go into place? I've lowered the sub frame, tranny mounts. Everything.. I need the usual 1 inch untill the will go in. What am I doing wrong?

I don't know for your car but I'm sure it's the same issue. I had to lift my block A little. Have someone else look up top so u don't crush any hoses/lines.

More details... did you remove the pitch stop? Usual way is to raise the engine, not lower the other mounts.

Did you remove the pitch stop mount? If so, try running a set of ratchet straps from part of your frame around the motor mounts to get a little extra leverage. Just don't go overboard.

I'd hope OP removed the pitch stop... I know someone who broke their's from lifting the engine. What brand mounts are you using or are they OEM? What are you using to jack up the engine? When I did mine, I had to wiggle everything around until both were partially in, then I bolted them down until they moved into place completely.

And yes its still a 205 block. And the motor mounts aren't on backwards.
