Default back to stock sort of question

Thinking of trading the car in... Can I leave the Perrin carted down pipe on and run the stock map, meaning unmarry the accessport?

I am going to put the stock air box in and stock exhaust etc. Only thing will be the Perrin catted DP.

Thanks...Jim

its fine. its not ideal but it should be ok. being catted will help too. as long as it is not overboosting and throwing a CEL then your OK. it may or may not, the issue is worse on the 2.5L but you will just have to see.

a lot of people think the sky will fall if you run a downpipe without a tune but thats not entirely true

Cool if push comes to shove then I will remove. But didn't want to go thru the hassle if not a big deal.

Lol yea for a little it would be ok is make sure to tell the buyer that it either needs another ap or protune for the downpipe. Running a downpipe with a stock tune is not good for long periods of time and going wot. It would suck for the buyer thinking he has a stock car and then the grenade goes off a month from now and he is fed cuz it didn't have a proper tune for the downpipe

You're trading it in. After the dealer signs papers, it's their problem.

Why not throw the stock one back on there and sell the Perrin? Unless you don't have the stock one... In which case my question is irrelevant.

You could probably leave all the mods on it and limp it to the dealer as long as you dont go WOT at all. I say keep and sell the dp.
