Default Exhaust help

Hey whats up guys i just got an 02 wrx. my friend is going to do a custom exhaust for me but i was wondering if i get a cat less up pipe and down pipe would i need a tune on it or will i have no problem? thank you

The '02 is a special beast.... and '03.

You actually CAN run a full turboback and uppipe without a tune, however, you will get better results and be slightly safer with the tune.

You CAN NOT do this with other WRXs.

I say go for it, but pick up something even as simple as an AP down the line. Or get protuned, etc. Your choice. But it doesn't have to be ASAP.
