Default 98 legacy gt help

ok so i have a 98 legacy gt 2.5 and i stuck a fart can in place of stock muffler and put knock off ebay UEL headers. at first it threw a code for my MAF low input but now that code is gone and i have p1440 i tried a new gas cap and it worked for 100 miles but came back on. what do you guys/gals think it could be? car runs great. and there is a pretty big leak in the midpipe. and i just changed oil.......HELP! and also is it bad to drive this way?

You have a small leak in the evap system. It has nothing to do with your fart can and header. Have it smoke tested.
