Ouch!! Dealerships really need to have drivers PROVE they can drive a vehicle before closing the sale.... sharks. Anyways, you'll heal up nice and painful. Car looks totaled and engine is probably shoved up into the firewall.

The V8 Genesis sedan is a nice car, my old man picked one up when they first came out and only a few problems with the nav/gps system. Mechanically its solid and the V8 came out nicer, quieter, faster, handles and stops better, AND cheaper than its V6 brother.

Lol, you're not the first to ask, and if I had a house I would consider it, but I don't have anywhere to put the damn thing, so they'll get to keep it.

On the other hand I have a Lincoln with a cracked radiator that you can have if you want it!

I read about the Navi issues and I don't really care about that, I'll use my phone for that anyway. I would get the pre 2012 version to have the ZF transmission, still keeping my eyes open, kind of briefly looked at a Taurus SHO, but not feeling the love.

And thanks, it's healing slowly, I'm hoping the numbness in my leg will pass once the swelling goes down and my neck/shoulder might need to get looked at, but slowly getting better

Got word today, the car is officially totaled.

Happy was a good car, he'll be missed.

Settled with the insurance today, just have to send in the title.

We ended up getting $11,970.00 for the Subaru, I was trying to get them up to $12,750.00, but I guess I can't complain too much, given that I paid $10,185,00 for the car two years and 23k miles ago.

Have a lead on a Genesis, that we might end up getting, just figuring things out, and the wife wants to focus on her finals first.

We're looking at a couple, one in California and one in Florida.

The 4.6 version of of the TAO engine though, for two reasons, first of all, they're obviously a hell of a lot of a lot cheaper than the '12 5.0L R ones, like, 10 grand less.

Secondly, I really want the 6 speed ZF transmission over the Hyundai made 8-speed, I don't love automatics in the first place, but if I'm getting one, I at least want to get a german made one that's been proven in plenty of cars.

I realize I give up 50 ish horses, but hell, 378hp ain't bad, 110 more than I've had in any car and 208 more than the Subaru, so I think I'd be good/still get in trouble!

But yeah, trying to get one through work, just not many of them around.

Well, it's pretty much a done deal, transferred a 2010 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 from California through work. With an additional extended service plan on the car, it'll end up around the $29-30k mark, which is a little more than we originally wanted to spend, but doable, especially once we found out we qualify for 1.85% APR financing. And given it has less than 12k miles on it, I think I can live with the price.

Once it gets here, it'll be a quick test drive and signing some papers and we'll be set.

Finally in my possession! We've had it since Wednesday evening, and so far it's doing everything I was hoping for.

It's by no means a sportscar, but it moves when it needs to! Definitely a great daily driver though and the seats indicate that it should be a phenomenal roadtrip car!

Stay tuned for the Wifes WRX in two years or so! lol

I actually like the color, lol.

But short answer, it fit what is was looking for and it was in my pricerange, ext color matters less to be on a used car.

I was looking at a white one too, but it had smoke odor, which is a no no. I also only looked through carmax bc I get the employee discount but more importantly, I wanted the service plan. The cars were generally cheaper than other places anyway.
