Question Central IL Subi owners?

Hey all,

Ttrying to find some Cental IL (Springfield, Decatur, Jacksonville) etc... that would like to meet up some weekend and hit a car show. Im frankly tired of having to just piggy back on the local "Z" club and instead have some Subi representation.

Also try to go to Midnight Madness at Gateway in STL for a few drag passes every once in awhile. Anyone heading should get ahold of me.

Thanks for looking and I hope to hear from you if you are close by

Dave in Springfield.

Check out the "Central IL Fun Roads" thread. There aren't many of us, but the thread has stayed alive.....and one more is never going to hurt.

I'm in Peoria.

Are you going to the Scoobapalooza meet? There should be a caravan starting in Chicago with people joining in along the way. I'd imagine it'll run through Springfield.

There's usually a few Subarus that attend the CCSCC autocross events. I can't make the next one on the 18th and 19th, but I plan to attend most of the others. Check out the schedule HERE.

I am on the fence about the Scoobapalooza event as I have a Canada trip planned that weekend that I want to go on. I have followed the CCSCC and have wanted to make the drive up there for a auto x event but my work schedule seems to always conflict.

I have found a few local Subaru fans just recently here in Springfield but I will give the Central IL roads feed a look.

Thank you all,

Dave.

THanks Clark and Im looking forward to seeing what the DynoJet numbers are in about a week and a half. Should be ~10% higher and if the car is leaned out a bit from the 11:0 ARF its running now on E-90 I should also see a little more. TBD.

What color is your wrx? I'm here in Springfield too and the subie scene is scarce. It would be nice to hook up with the few owners around here for a little drive. Not sure if you have seen my car around town much as it is mostly in the garage due to having a work truck. I drive the black 04 sti on goldies. Pretty sure its the only one here in town. Hope to see you round town soon.

My 11 WRX is World Rally Blue (sedan) and you should hear it was well as see it as its resonably straight pipes with the Nameless Turbo back system. I love any WRX with gold wheels and I do think I have seen your car somewhat recently in Washingon Park.

It seems like we are going to get some turnout for the June LLCC car show so we could all meet for that or just let me know. Gone this weekend and next but my schedule should free up after that.

That would be a good place for all of here to get together, as I haven't lived in Springfield very long, and it would be nice to meet some of the local fellow subi owners. Then I can finally put a name with a car! Lol What day is that LLCC show?

I tested the E-85 at the Qik-N-Ez on way west Wabash and it was E-90. I have a water test tube tester that gives me piece of mind when fueling. My car is tuned for the E-90 and worst case if the "E" content goes down and they add more gas I will just run rich so to speak vs running lean if I tuned in the winter on E-70 and get summer E-90 like right now.

I suspect that as the fuel gets used and they take another delivery or two this month the E content will rise. I have heard of getting as high as E-95 around here peak summer months and that it never really drops below E-80 even though it can be legally as low as E-70.

I use the e there as well cause its the cheapest at 2.89. Guess its just an added bonus that its e90!
