I've been wanting to buy my first Subaru lately and have been emailing back and forth with a dealership around my area. I was going to put in an order for a white WRX Sedan but I was told there weren't any new ones for sale in my state and that production had stopped for 13's and hadn't started for 14's yet. It is now July, does anyone know when these orders can be put in? I really want one of the first WRX 14's that come out at the end of the year.

Were you able to order through SOA or a dealer?

My dealer has been telling me that Aug 1st is the tentative opening of the order bank for the 2014 STi orders. Unless they opened it up over the weekend.

I imagine that the WRX's would open up as well on August 1st and not just the STi's?

2013 PBB STi limited ordered 2/17, said screw it on 5/17 after ZERO updates and getting jerked around by SOA. What the hell company has a confirmed order with down payment for 3 months without giving a SINGLE update. I still want to replace my 9-2x I was going to trade in with a new WRX, but i guess ill check that out in 2015. The 9-2x is now my daily and I can't say I regretted the decision.... And what I got instead

Went to Subaru today and supposedly they don't know when throwers for the 2014 will start. They did mention that they think it'll start at the end of August for delivery in September/October. They either really don't know anything about it or are holding their info really tight.

So it being about 1 week away from when the order bank is supposed to open up...

Those of you that are planning on ordering, what price tag are you aiming to get your cars for? Just curious.

Personally I am after a 5-door STi with about $1k (MSRP) worth of add ons. I am aiming, fingers crossed, 37k OTD. (In GA we have a 6.5% 1 time tax\sale tax combo at time of purchase) That might be alil ambitious, but I am pretty sure that's the right ball park.

I'm look for a base model sedan and my total comes out to about $26,400 on SOA with my accessories. If I can get anywhere between 26,500-27,000, I'll be content.

I've researched the "what I paid" thread as well as using TrueCar. On that thread, seemed like people are paying even under what TrueCar says is fair market.

I would like to get a Premium with a short shifter. If I cant get a low enough price I want I can afford to bay I will drop down to a base. I will even contact Clint to see how much one would be shipped to me.

I was already quoted $27,800 by two dealers for WR premium sedan. They had ssk, homelink, and some other stuff I didn't want that they were pretty much giving me for free. I'm hoping to do $27,500 with t/t on a 2014 without the unnecessary extras.

I have a question that have done the ordering thing before. Did you secure the loan before ordering the car or waited till the car actually came in to get the loan?

If the '14s are anything like the '13s: wait.

A credit check (loan approval) is (I think) only valid for about 30 days. It took 4 months from order to delivery on my 5-door limited.

Your dealer might run a prelim credit check before order but the loan stuff gets handled when you take delivery.

Wait till car comes, gives you time to find a good rate

I started hunting for loans about a week before my ETA for my 2013... Ended up going through Subaru (chase) and pulling 1.9%. Some people have gotten better but I was satisfied with that and said fuggit

I am guessing he said wait because some who have ordered 2013's have waited up to 4 months.

I am hoping that wont be the case for orders placed as soon as the order bank opens.

Thats bull****....they should be stepping up production, NOT keeping supplies low.

Believe they did. My dealership in the Chicagoland area called me to tell me that and to confirm I still wanted to put my order through, which I did that morning.
