Numbers look really good man. Nice curve as well. Isn't Jon Drenas tuning over at 5150?

Agree 100%. Jon probably tuned my '07 half a dozen times and the tunes were always legit.

Yes Jon drenas is Jon baka and yes he is working at 5150racing ! We are coming up with a plan for more power ATM. Soon to be full e85 with more power!

Interesting that you got tuned on a 50/50 mix. Assuming the injectors can't flow enough for straight e85. Not a bad idea man. Decent gains, but I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble. But thanx for posting regardless.

Regarding Drenas, glad everyone seemed to have gotten a great tune from him. I was steered away some years ago when I was initially getting my car modded. Ended up going to Yimisport instead and have been pretty satisfied there, other than the longer drive!

My cars have always made crazy power on Jon's tunes. None of them have blown up either. Stoked to see he is still tuning.

Is it just me or are the 15's making less power than previous gen?

This is my previous gen 2012 wrx hatch, protuned by church, they're dyno that they use is a dynojet, sea level elevation location CA. Consisted of Perrin tmic, ebcs, Downpipe, qtp cutout valve(no restriction) afr was 11.1 on 91 gas

I think these engines can handle more power and gas more potential then the previous models, but time will tell since these are new to everyone !

It appears the 2015 power comes on incredibly fast, but falls on it's face pretty early, whereas the 2012 holds up until redline much better.

When driving hard, I'm not typically down in the 2k RPM range much... I suspect the 2015 will be more streetable, but the 2012 will ultimately end up being quicker. Peak numbers don't really interest me--it's more total area under the curve in the relevant range.

Being able to run e85 on stock fuel is super nice though....no more injectors and fuel pump spending to enjoy some E.

Your car is in good hands. I did some crazy **** my '07 and it held up great. BTW, Church Automotive uses a Dyna Pack. I'll bet it reads higher than the Mustang dyno Jon tuned you on.

Funny how i was just talking to my brother in law last night around the same time you posted this about getting tuned by Jon . my brother works with him out there in cali..sadly im in Orlando but might etune. I havent read or heard anything bad about Baka but also cant find much about him on the Subaru forums. Mostly evo stuff. Glad to see a lot of people on here were tuned by him.

What a small world! What's your brother and laws name ? He tunes majority of evo and GTR.. And so I heard he use to work for Cobb as well I don't know the story behind that though ! He is a very very good tuner and stands with his words and tunes! Hopefully after subiefest the turbo will be removed and sent out to get ported by grimmespeed!

"Best" is a bit far fetched for any tuner. Especially when you throw someone like Eric Koester at Kozmic under the bus.

So have you not had any issues running partial e85/91? Only reason I ask is that I have cobb stage 1 and here in spokane we just got e85. Dont know if you had to do anything else to your car for it to work. Thanks

I haven't gotten any issues, just my first time filling 50/50 and it's a bit of a hassle! I'm just trying to run full e85, yes my car was there Tuesday!

Ok so I took this as it was ok to run e85 mix. I used 5 gallon of e85 and 10 gallons of 92 did a couple data logs and then sent them over to lance at cobb turns out not so good he said it was running pretty lean and would not recommend e85 mix yet on this car but that could be the difference of brens tune to cobb ots stage 1 91 map o dont know.

Not ok. You definitely took that wrong. He tuned his car to run on a 50:50 mix. If you ran higher ethanol content with a cobb tune that is set to run on 91 than yes, your a/f will be lean. You need to tune for running anything other than 91 and I would abandon the mixing of e85 because you'll have a inconsistent ethanol content. Commit to running straight e85 and tune for it or do 91 and stick with the cobb ots if you can't find a tuner. Visconti has a flex fuel kit if you want run mix but if you have it available go full e85 with a tune and enjoy.
