Post Problems with my new 2.5RS

We are at just 3500 miles on the odo and my girl usually drives it and this time when I drove it...well it had some massive problems.
First thing I noticed was that when under WOT right around 5250RPM the engine like skipped...its hard to explain but, it's like it lost all it's horsepower for a second and then it all kicks back in again...its very weird.
Second, when we are in 4th gear and over 80mph there is a grinding noise from the left of the engine compartment...and it shakes the car...any guesses on this guys? I know I should take it in...but, I just was wondering what it might be!

Well your first problem is normal. There is a hesitation around the 4500 rpm to 6000rpm. There are some mods people do to help try and eleminate it but none has worked for me. Just when I think i've fixed it...It comes back again..don't ask me..As for the second problem...I have no idea..bring it to the dealer...Gerry

after you lose power at 5250rpm and then it comes back does the rpms still climb after 5250rpm? rev limiter but probably not because the rev limiter isnt set at 5250.
peace

Damn... Right at 5250, eh? hehehe, how eerily coincidental... That's the RPM divider point where ALL HP/Tq graphs cross.

HP= tq*RPM / 5252

I tell my friends that when it loses power before going to redline that its just my turbo charger preparing to boost up to 28psi
