Default Siri Bluetooth Calling

I have a 2013 Impreza sedan and I have an iphone 5. When I make a hands free call in the car through siri it will switch to the phone speaker instead of the car speakers once the call is connected. The iphone 4s did not do this. How can I make it so it continues through the car speakers once the call is connected?

So you push and hold the Siri button, tell it to call someone and it stays on the car speakers when they pick up?

Do you have your i5 connected to the headunit via Bluetooth?

It is connected to the headunit via bluetooth. In order to activate siri I have to hold the button on the iphone until it asks me what I want through the car dpeakers. Then I tell it who to call. It dials and once the person answers it switches from the car speakers to the phone speaker. If I use the steering wheel button it looks for numbers programmed into the headunit.

If you hit the call button on the steering wheel it will switch back to car speakers.

On the topic of using Siri: has anybody else had issues with Siri not hearing any voice commands while connected to the stock head unit via bluetooth? Here's how it goes for me:
  • I hold down the button on my iPhone 5 (but don't hear Siri's "dink-dink" tone to let me know it's ready - I have to look at the screen to know, or just wait a few seconds. I don't know where the audio for this tone is going.
  • I scream and yell and yell some more. Sometimes Siri sort of hears what I say and gets it wrong. Most of the time it just hears nothing from me.
  • I pull over and dial by hand.

Any ideas?

2013 WRX, btw.
