I have mapped out a route that starts near Texas Motor Speedway at Northwest ISD admin building (at the stoplight in front of Northwest isd just past the football stadium) and ends at Babe's Chicken in Burleson. It is 100mi and around 2.5hrs, lots of back roads and, what from the map, look to be some good driving roads.
The cruise is scheduled for Saturday, June 29th at 10:30am.

If you are interested in attending please either reply in the thread or shoot me a pm. I am trying to get a head count so I can get us some tables at Babe's.

Looks pretty fun There is a couple things to I would fix though. I'm a UPS driver and I have deliver in the Burleson Joshua area.

I would advise against going down W Bethesda Rd. That road is really narrow with lots of blind turns, people blast down that road and there are wrecks there quite often.

Oh also the Babes Chicken is not at the end of the route, it's actually close to Renfro and 35 in old town Burleson.

Thanks for the info, for some reason the route info cutoff before the end so the last bit back to babe's doesn't show up in the linked route.

The plan is to meet up, cruise around the area then have delicious chicken (I hear Babe's has chicken fried steak too but I cannot imagine why).

I drove the route earlier today and there are a couple of changes I think will make the route better (couple of construction spots and some of the roads looked much better on the map than in person).

The chicken fried steak there is amazing. If you haven't been there, it's a buffet style limited menu but it's all freakin delicious.

I have updated the route, Azel Highway was disappointing (and I got lost trying to find the exit) so the new route skips it.

The route is still pretty long, the only reason I have it starting at TMS is that it is an easy landmark, but the roads right around there are a bit boring and under construction. We can always change that when we get closer to actually making this thing happen.

If we can get a group together for sometime in June that would be awesome (all the green stuff will turn brown if we wait too long).

I'm in except for the weekend of the 29th
if you'll welcome the lone Evo!
Oh, some Babe's locations don't carry the whole menu, but that one has the smoked chicken which is the best chicken i've ever tasted.
It also has a nice consignment shop upstairs, to walk off a little of the meal!

I was thinking of inviting some of my autox friends from the BMW and Porsche clubs too (a couple of the guys drive evo X's).

Us autox guys get confused though when there aren't a bunch of cones to tell us where to go.

On either June 1st or 2nd I plan on doing the final route test run and lets plan on doing the cruise on either Saturday June 29th or Sunday June 30th.

Now all we need to do is get people to sign up (I might make a registration deal on dlbracing.com or motorsportsreg.com to better gauge interest).

I think I may be in for going this Saturday. As I live south (Burleson area) I would just end my trip there.

Sounds great. Got my first STI a week ago so I will definetly be interested in the cruise. Live 5 mins from TMS so it sounds like fun.
