Default ZERO Sports CF Wing Risers

Got it today and installed it. Paid $230 shipped from Fizzautosports.com . Very good price... its usually $250 not shipped at many other places.

First of all the CF Weave isnt as perfect as the price would suggest, however, I dont really care all that much. The fact that my replica CF STi side markers, made in Taiwan or where ever, are of better quality... is kinda sad.

Fit is perfect...

Install was a beotch. First of all you have to remove the wing, 4 bolts, and 3rd brake light harness. The bolts require a deep socket rachet to get out. I do not have any deep socket rachets, so I had to go buy one. The harness was a pain to get off of course.
You take the wing off and try to screw the CF extensions to the wing... problem was getting the bolts in there and getting the harness through. Much easier if you had someone help hold the wing up for ya.
Then take that and bolt it back to the trunk with the enclosed bolts and washers. Once again a task much easier with help. It scared the crap outta me when I was screwing it in and heard cracking... its cuz the threads are not perfectly cut out. I screwed everything in VERY lightly, since the stock wing didnt even require much to hold it down.

Well it does its job and it is carbon fiber, so I dont need to get it painted. I took it for a run and in conjunction with the STi CF Front lip, the car was EXTREMELY stable. Vision out the rear is blocked at about where other cars headlights would usually shine through and blind you.

Nice item, but its not perfect, so its not really show quality. If performance is your goal, then get some replicas for a lot less. I wanted CF and performance, so even average quality CF with flaws is ok for me.

He got his back when they weren't as expensive. I remember they had these prices maybe 8 months ago. Then ZeroSport jacked up the prices...

I love mine. I got them from Dan at Vivid Racing. They fit perfectly and everyone compliments me on them.

Sonic-

Did you have do drill holes in these for the cables? You didnt mention that. I picked up a set and the quality is not the greatest and there is no holes for the retention cable. Theres a few chips on the edges and you can see thru the weave. Anyone receive a flawless set? The replicas I had only cost me $90 and they were predrilled and included hardware, only the fitment was not good and they were cheaply made.

The install itself is cake, but with both sets I had it becomes a PITA preparing them for the install. Not that drilling a couple holes and is hard but for the cost of the Zerosports, I think that they would come ready to bolt on.

I received a set yesterday and it was flawless (well the parts that were visible anyway).

I did drill a hole or slot in each extension to get the safety cable through there. No big deal.

Looks great, easy install.

my car doesnt have those cables... so it was ready to install, as is. quality sucks though. i only paid 300 for a CF lip... so i expected some great quality from the wing risers that cost almost as much.

I had to drill holes on my CF ones also. It smelled kinda funny, and I hope it wasn't too toxic. I'm not a CF expert but one of my friends pointed out that the CF looks like it was stickered on.
