Default New here and back into Subaru

I just found this forum. I've been driving Peugeots and doing the Peugeot forums for years. My previous Subaru an 89 Turbo SW rotted in half at least 10 yr ago just as the AWD automatic trans kacked. I live in The Great White North and for 10 winters I've missed my AWD Subaru. I've talked several friends into AWD Passats BMWs and Suzukis.
But finally yesterday I bought an 06 Impreza Wagon with a 5 spd 2.5 RS or some thing. Did they drop the name Outback?
Anyway it is an insurance writeoff, it took a good whack in the front end, just left of center so I got some work to do.
I hope I don't irritate to many here but I hate the look of the front end of the 06-07 Impreza but it is the one I got. It kind of reminds me of the Edsel.
So rumor has it that the much better looking the front clip from the 04-05 will bolt onto my 06. I will be investigating this thoroughly as I change the sub-frame and get the frame rails straightened a little bit.
The good news is the engine and trans seem fine.

If you haven't head that song, you should give it a listen.

Congratulations on the new Subaru. From what I read, you have a base model impreza. The outback is a little different.

Bet you can pick up a front end for cheap in the classified forums for the backdate you want to do. And just like that, saying the word "backdate", I'm thinking about 911s again.
