Haven't got the car back yet. The new setup includes a rotated GTX3576 and a nitrous setup.

Lol he said nitrous! Anyone know anything about turbo and high boost would have gone WMI and E85 but good luck with nitrous!

Is that 7th street Paso Robles, Bakersfield, Delano? That's about half way between us. We could run at Fomoso drag strip in Bakersfield?

A small shot of nitrous isn't the worst way to get earlier spool out of an oversized turbo.

Close this thread until you get new numbers, imo. (PM a mod and ask nicely)

Videotape your match with kelly. Good luck to the both of you.

A 3576 is not an oversize turbo and on e85 it should spool well before 3600. I would not mess with nitrous. If you want more out of it get tuned on FTW Purple as an additional map. Much simpler from the hardware side of things vs nitrous!

Yeah, it does seem a bit overkill to spray that.

This car is built for drag racing, nitrous could and will eliminate the turbo lag. That's all we are concerned about, going fast in a straight line.

trust me when leaving on true LC you don't need nitrous, now if you were running a built auto that would be different trust me I know.Be warned nitrous and high boost in a suby do not go together too well so be careful.

I don't expect the engine to last for a long time, I will be only using the spray for only a handful of races. Although, thanks for the heads up

Lulz. Where is your 10 second slip? I've been in the mid 12's since I purchased my car new back in March of 2010 (and have slips to prove it, unlike you; they are on here I think and I know they are on 3gwrx.com because I'm in the top 10 1/4 mile list). I have no inclination to mod this any further than bolt ons since its my DD.

I've also been in the 10's on my r6. Granted it is a bike, but a 10 second pass is a 10 second pass.

You haven't even make a trip down the dragstrip yet let alone a 10 second pass. I'd LOVE to see you even pull off an 11.99 pass. By your level of stupidity, I'm pretty sure you don't know how to drive.

Back to the wheel discussion, I was only offering to help you. If you took 6lbs off of each wheel (which is very doable, you might be able to do 8lbs), thats 24lbs. Now, 24lbs of stable mass, like a subwoofer in your car, wont do much. 24lbs of ROTATIONAL MASS, will make a pretty signficant difference and when doing a build as intense and in depth as yours, it would seem wise to take this route when trying to go as fast as possible.

Look at the lightweight crank pulley for our cars. Not the best example, but it is ~4lbs lighter than the stock one (depending on manufacturer) and makes a decent difference. But I guess thats a stupid mod to do according to you because its only 4lbs.

I was only trying to help you/ explain that if you're trying to go as fast as possible, it might be a good idea to look at lighter rims (which are in turn, more expensive, but you have to pay to play). I honestly just feel bad for you with how poorly you are approaching this. Whatevs, not my money being wasted.

If thats REALLY what you're concerned about, then you'd probably be looking at a better rim/ tire setup.

Say whatever you want, but your rim/ tire setup is only hurting your goals if those are really your goals.

Is this dude really claiming to have a 10 second car and has never even run it down the strip? It's a sad day.

Well put your ****s money where you mouth is and lets run it here in the bayarea.

Like I said previously this is not to get your opinions on my build.

It's to help other people who are looking for similar numbers and goals!

I will take it to Infineon sometime soon, and post the time slips. With a middle finger in the background!

Thanks!

Anyone looking for help should NOT take the route you are/ did. Again, you paid way too much and changed your own mind in the middle of the build; costing you a ridiculous amount of money for a build that will only net you (maybe; it hasn't even been proven yet) 500whp. Hopefully, people will learn from your ignorance and mistakes.

I guess you are helping others learn what not to do, and for that, we thank you!

BTW, where is this 10 second slip? You told me to join a club that you aren't even part of (yet I am, lulz). Have you even run this car yet? If not, then you aren't even part of the 16 second Honda Civic club yet! Must mean your car is super slow according to your logic!

There are plenty of people in Subarus that ARE in the 10 second club and have done it for half of what you did. They are the ones we should be looking to for help. You are not in that group. Sorry bud.

Waiting for numbers still...

I think the premise of this thread has gotten a little out of hand, that being said what numbers would you like? the Dom 3 numbers were posted but the GTX3582 weren't as I didn't give them to the owner. I can post them if it will satisfy the "it must be over 500whp" club

I'd like to see a 10 second pass.

Also curious for your opinion on this topic as well...

If the goal was to go as fast as possible with this build, why this rim/ tire setup then?
