Default NASA Northwest Chapter (New) 2013 Events

Sorry for not posting about this sooner but NASA has opened up a chapter in the PNW this year through the guys that ran the NorCal chapter.

For those who aren't familiar, NASA is a rival organization to the SCCA and is huge everywhere in the US except for the NW.

NASA NW has a full summer of events at NW tracks and offer everything from HDPE to Time Trials (Time Attack) and Wheel to Wheel racing.

Here is the link to the their calendar of events and this next weekend, which is shaping up to be perfect weather-wise is going to be their event at the Ridge Motorsports park.

http://www.nasanorthwest.com/?page_id=19

Let me know if you're interested and I have a bunch of $25 off coupons. Bottom line is $199 - $25 for a full track day (around 2 hours of track time)! The two day deal is $325 or so for two days!

The first event at Pacific Raceways had a few Subies in the HPDE groups.

Hope to see more people there!

Bumping this up as we've seen more and more Subies (and Evo's) show up each event. The next event is at Portland International Raceways on July 12th and 13th.

The events have been run really well and little to no incidents. Here is some video from the first event at Pacific Raceways:

My fastest lap which got me 1st Place in TT2 and 2nd overall: http://trackattackapp.com/?raceid=89...9-141deda8c0ec

(note: because people always ask, that was on an iPhone 4 with standard video quality)

Here is one from the Ridge this past Friday on an iPhone 5 on HD: http://trackattackapp.com/?raceid=4a...c-9e3a5cf9a48d

Hope to see a bunch of Subies at PIR and again, hit me up if you want a registration coupon!

Another bump. This month's Event at PIR is going to have a special AWD Attack Challenge.

This is essentially an open AWD Time Attack session where anyone can enter without having a time trials license. Only requirements are:

As far as I know, there are more Evo's signed up than Subies right now with heavy ER representation.

$199 for ~2 hours of track time + competition. Can't beat that value.

Goodness gracious finally! Another reason why I hated moving back to WA, there was no NASA.

It's also great to see a large majority of BRZ owners actually tracking their cars.

Yep - hope we can see a growing # of Subaru's out there. PIR event this weekend should be pretty awesome.

Haven't tracked the BRZ yet because I put all my investment in the Evo 9 for TT3 and have been renting a Pro 3 for some wheel to wheel action.

There were 2 or 3 BRZ's in the HPDE groups last month at the Ridge.

ORP should be great too. Awesome track with no huge straight away so made really well for 4 cylinder AWD turbos to compete against Corvette's, Porsche's, etc...

See ya then!

I won't be able to make this one, and unfortunately I'm out of town for the next one. I'm hoping I can make the last few this year though .
