Talking SCW Performance - North Texas DIY Garage & Performance Shop

Hey all,

I figured I'd make this "official" since many of you already frequent our shop but there are many more that have never heard of us before... Allow me to introduce myself & our shop - SCW Performance

We are one of the first DIY Garages in the DFW area, infact, I believe we were the first (a few years ago), but who's counting anyways. We are a group of import enthusiasts who specialize in import upgrades, performance modifications, custom fiberglass / carbon work and fab work....Plus, we rent out our AIR-CONDITIONED 3,000sq shop to customers for their own DIY. It may be 90 degrees outside, but it's 72 in our shop.

- 9,000lb Lift, Air Tools, Trans Jack, Lift Supports, Full tool array, Full air tool array, Fluid drains, the works.

So, if you want a cool place to work on your Subie, as well as get some goodies...Hit us up! We offer more than 200 brands of products, many of which you guys are already familiar with, plus we stock more parts than any other shop in DFW.

(one other small mention, we do stock many syn fluids - Amsoil, Purple, Eneos)

Thanks

SCW Performance

^agreed. People rent out our shop for all kinds of stuff, from detailing to transmission / clutch swaps.

Now to also mention, we do all types of installs, service / maintenance as well...in case you'd rather have someone else do it

Not sure why anyone would do this...?

However there is 1 exception, we do not rent our shop out to large vehicles (i.e.: trucks, vans, busses, suv's etc...cars only!)

So, what would it cost me, approximately, to reserve a 1/2 hour to change my own oil using your tools and my own filter and oil?

We are a performance shop first, DIY garage 2nd. We stock more performance parts on our shelves than ANY other performance shop in Dallas. The DIY is for maybe 10% of our customers, the other 90% have our techs do the installs. In either case we are generally cheaper on labor either route you choose, the shop labor rate is only $75/hr....As for the DIY, it is rented by the full hour, not 1/2. Price breaks start at 10 hours and up and the rate drops significantly.

Looks like I need to find another garage for the engine swap on my c-10. This is a great idea. I actually thought about something like this as a business. Though no professional techs. Just a huge garage with lifts and bays. Great to see someone doing it. Wish you guys all the success!
