Thumbs up Mods?

Hey Hamfist,

Can you give a mod list for your RS?? just curious what you've done to get close to the 15's with a 2.5!

This will give me more hope!

I have a 2.5 GT and ran a best of 17.27@80.5 a few weeks ago at Bandimere. This was with a 2.5 60' (I know... it's bad) I think with a decent launch I could pull a 16.9x with the current setup(?). I WAS very consitent though all night! with the mrt header/cat, soon to be ordered, I should dip to 16.9@82 or so - maybe better with a wicked launch.

I didn't bog the launch at all - slipped it from 4-4500 then to full throttle as soon as it gets close to "catching-up". I feel like the clutch doesn't grab well enough... maybe? It was smooth at least

anyhow, can't make it to the test and tune - My newly born SON has my time now!
It would be fun to run with some more N/A subies sometime! Good luck! hope ypu see that 15.9

-Chad

I'm going. First time though, so I may have a timeslip similar to yours. I'm kinda sorta almost stock.

Default ? for pace?

How do you like the vf22 vs. vf30. I just took my 30 off, and I am looking into other turbos. Thanks

I just took my 30 off and fitted a 22 last week as well. Im not sure the VF22 is the "fix it all" turbo for everyone, but it seems to work better with my car. Plus, it is leaner as soon as power comes on so I know its making more air/power than the VF30 did. Any larger and I think lag may be too much.

JaMa

PS - looking like it may be a bit rainy for Bandi tonight, it may not be open?????

How much rain has to fall for it to close.

Scoobys should be allowed to race in the rain. Bet we'd beat some SICK cars.

Default Me thinks well be rained out

I suspect we will get rained out.

If it stops raining by about 1:00 they might have time to dry the track -- takes a couple hours depending on how cool it is and how much breeze is blowing.

Since this is an upslope storm, it will rain on the hog back before it will rain here in town.

They have a hot line recording that lists upcoming events. I understand if they rain out they will put it on that phone recording. I have never actually used it when a rain out occured, so I'm just taking the receptionists word for it.

303-697-4870 ( Bandimere event upcoming event phone recording )

When we called at 3:45, they said they were open. Got up there and the gate was closed with a cancellation notice Oh well, the mini-meet was fun.

Default wow timing I guess

Gee, I must have called in just as they did the update to the recording, cause it was probably within a minute or two of your call.

Depending on the weather next week we may have already had the last day for drag racing this season. Guess its time to start planning for next year.

I have an appointment to drop my car off at SDR Performance off I-76 and 88th street Wednesday night for the air water IC, and to pick it up friday night the 11th.

I should still be able to make the PMI on the 12th if it is done on Friday.

Is there anyone from the springs that can drive my SE-R up to denver on wed night , when I take the RS to get the work done (after 5:00pm)? I can drive us back in the SE-R and leave leave the RS there for a couple of days? I'll BUY DINNER for you!

DRATT!!!!!!!!!!!It was closed!!!!

Well, I talked to a human (soudned like a cute young woman.) She stated there was still the brackets and trophy series Saturday and Sunday, and one more "test and tune" next Wednesday. So...if you're willing to brave the racing test, and run all the way through it for cash...sat and sun will work. I'm not sure if it's this weekend or next, tho. I'll catch one of them for sure. I get paid Friday....so catching a race won't be a problem . I gotta see what she does ...dammit, I'm too anxious!!!
