Default I could really use some "tire bulge" advice...

I have a bulge in my front driver's side tire, it's been there for a few months and I've been ignoring it (embarrassed to say). but I was hoping someone could tell me how concerned to be/how soon I should get it changed. as of now my plan is to just get one new tire and have the tread shaved down to match the circumference of the other 3.

opinions?

Had a similar instance on my wrx and I just stayed off the highway until getting it replaced. With an impact break in the sidewall it is really unknown when the tire could blow out. Every time the tire is heat cycled is a chance it could blow out. Better to replace it soon and avoid any other car damage it might inflict.

"Bulge" is an area in the sidewall that has damaged cords and is allowing air between the layers of rubber. Replace ASAP. Coming from working in tire shops for almost seven years.

Replace.
How worn are the other tires? Maybe you do not need to worry about shaving the new tire.

Get a new one ASAP. If you push hard on one you can burst that bitch open, ask me how I know? Bubbles are quite scary when you work around tires all day long. I hate em.

Definitely replace! I always tell customers to replace for safety concerns and I'm glad they replace everytime! 1 hour for a quick mount and balance is great gravy
