Some of the posts said that if I used the Cobb tuning instead of Tactix (open source) the dealer could over-ride my tune. Doesn't it make sense if I'm this paranoid about the dealer f***ing up my settings to just go "Cobb" ? I mean I'm not going to go track this car and feel I probably would sense that much difference with a "generic" stage 2 setting.
Thanks for the heads up on having my tuner reflash with the WRQ-39 micro code. Hope he's aware of this. Damm S4 was allot easier, just sent the extra computer to the tuner whenever there was this kind of "recall" for him to flash..
You're worried about OEM ecu adjustments but you had the car modded & tuned... and you think it was easier to keep 2 ecu's around and mail one to a tuner everytime you wanted a reflash?
I would think that if possible, it would be best to find a subaru technician that knows exactly what's being changed in the OEM reflash to see if it is even relevant to you since you're already tuned. I stand by my original statement though, you're already reflashed by a tuner so the MFG's reflash is worthless to you at this point.
