Default Car swap for a few minutes?

I'm tired of puzzling what turbo I'm going to buy for my 2.0L. If anyone has a 2.0L GD with a VF*, 16G, 18G etc that I could drive to check out lag I'd greatly appreciate it.

If anyone wants to try a bugeye with significant suspension and steering mods that's my car:

coilovers (RCE Tarmac II aka GD spec'ed KW V3's)
QRack (11.5:1 ratio vs stock 16.5:1)
Brembo conversion
Whiteline bars, kart boy links, whiteline rear mounts
RCE camber plates front and rear
Mach V lightweight wheels and 245 40 Dunlop Starspecs

Please let me know - I'd appreciate the help.

Plymouth & Cape area would be great

You really think somebody else is just going to let you drive there car if they've never met you?

Well I guess I was hoping someone would help out. I've let people drive my cars before and I was going to give them mine? I wasn't suggesting doing a 1/4 mile run, just a few pulls and of course with them in the car if that's an issue. Bottom line is I don't want "on/off" power and I'm fearing the 18G will risk snap oversteer. I'm trying to build my car for road courses (Limerock Etc). I'm thinking a 16G (big) or even a VF48 is better suited for a road course in a 2.0L. There really isn't that much info out there and many of the dyno graphs links are dead so I can't see where peek boost is.

At any rate, if you look at the list of suspension mods I've done you can at least suspect I'm not your average complete F'tard. I'm also not 17. Or even less than twice that

I'd start by looking into the databases of reputable tuners in the area. I'm pretty sure EFI logics updates there's quite frequently

I believe I speak for most people on this site who are not speaking when I say ' I never let people drive my car '.

It's a lost opportunity in my opinion. There are way too many people buying and selling the same components because its not what they hoped for. A few years back I let someone drive my Evo X to experience the Swift Spec R's I was running which he assumed would be too harsh. He was wrong and realized it was the perfect spring for DD and AutoX. I'm going to guess most here haven't driven a GD or a GR with a QRack. Is it worth $2K? How much better are real coilovers vs universally valved coilovers from Taiwan? Being able to answer questions like that is worth collaborating on in my opinion.

I bought a Blouch 18G XT with an 8cm hotside.

I've let other people drive my cars. No problem as long as you're not an idiot. I let a co-worker take my M3 for over a week. You have to be a very good friend to drive one of the S2000s since they only come out for track days.

I've also had someone on the forum ask just the same way as the OP. He wanted to drive a VF22 or larger 2.0 WRX. I lived 5 minutes from where he worked and had the exact setup he wanted to drive. He bought me lunch and got to drive my car (the same way I drive it). Sorry I don't have that car any more so the OP could take it for a drive.

Hey I appreciate the sentiment. I had an e46 M3 years ago. I must say you are brave lending it out for a week! This 2.0L thing is turning out to be a real pain in the ass based on current options on the market. I'm backing out of the 18G XT. Its perfect for a hybrid but the spool characteristics don't look too hot in the 3K range. I'm back to a 16G XT again. I really want an EVOIII 16G but I can't find one. Boy did that thing spool, peaking in the 3.6 - 3.7K range? Wow...

Anyway again thanks for the sentiment.

My feelings also.
After all.... It was after I drove your RX7 LS1 that made me not want a stock LS1 in my RX7

I let people all of the time drive my cars, it makes everyone's day driving a JDM car around the parking lot.

OP, if you wanted to take a drive to RI I have a VF34 on my stock 2.0 wagon (280awhp) or I have a VF30 on my EJ207 GC (340awhp).

I had a chance to drive Dan's white heads/cam LS2 RX7 at the last track day at NHMS. He took my S2000 for a session. His car is a blast. Hit nearly 130mph before the braking zone in T1 and there was wheel spin cresting T5. Street tires on a car like that is futile.

HERSHEY I want to drive your old black STI Appreciate the offer - it looks like I'm buying the 16G XT however. 280 is a nice number. Did you tune yourself or at Wicked?

Todd,

It's probably not a turbo on your list but you are welcome to take a drive in my car if you want. I have a GT3076 with a EJ207 that makes 380 awhp; it'll snap oversteer but if you keep it in the "right" rpms, it's erm... ok? Only caveat is that you have to drive quite a bit out west from the Cape.

Cheers.

Gerald.

380? No wonder everyone hates the 205! Thats a big turbo. My engine would explode on the dyno.
