Default 2011 WRX - Low RPM Stuttering

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2011 WRX that is completely stock and is under 8000 miles. I don't recall it occurring prior to the ECM remap recall that they had completed, but have had the dealership reload since and it still occurs.

The car will stutter / hesitate when accelerating, but only in lower RPM ranges. I've read many people complain about what sounded similar but they were mostly in the 5+ range. This happens between 2400-3200 RPM, and when it happens it almost always is a stutter / full / stutter / full / stutter / full pattern, and each stutter feels like a 50% power cut. It's very random, it doesn't always happen in the course of a 30 minute drive, other times it will happen several times. Also, I thought it was just if the vehicle was cold, but its happened at the end of my 30 minute commute. The dealer has not been able to replicate it, but are going to drive it again on Monday to see if they can replicate it. But I'm hoping to maybe provide some answers for them if people have experienced it in the past? I can't keep the vehicle like this, it makes a left hand turn in traffic turn into a possible scary situation when it suddenly decides to do it in 1st..

Any advice or past experience would be appreciated, I love my car but this just isn't going to work if its ongoing.

Does it do it on partial throttle? Full throttle? What gears does it do it in? Low speed? Do you clutch in or do you try and control speed with the accelerator?

Almost exclusively partial throttle, but as far as I know that is only because I'm not full very often and I would only be in that RPM range for 1st gear if WoT. So it basically only occurs when going from a stop to a cruising speed at a leisurely pace.

Not sure what you mean by clutch in? If say I've gone into 2nd and already have fully released the clutch and am applying a constant accelerator pressure is when it happens. It feels like I'm going from that say 30% accelerator pressure to almost letting off, then back on.. but it isn't quite so jarring as if you were to say fluctuate your foot on and off the pedal.

That was the majority of what I found when trying to research the issue before posting, but there weren't a lot of follow up posts that tunes solved the issue, just people saying that it was an issue & get a tune. Was yours constantly doing it or very intermittently like mine?

Do you buy your fuel from the same station?

Mine does this as well, although nowhere near as severe as you described. I'm 100% certain there's no boost leaks or intake leaks. I changed the plugs too (36K miles) to no avail. I'm guessing it's 'normal' from what I've read regarding the garbage factory map.

This probably has a lot to do with the requested torque (accelerator pedal) table in the ecu and how it is set to feel "peppy" from the factory (small inputs from you equal big changes in requested torque for the first 50% of pedal travel).
