Default Options for 08 2.5i Header?

So idk how but my stock header has a crack in it and is leaking, pretty bad. For a new oem one is gonna be about $700, what can I do about that? I cant find any ebay headers, rallisport racing is a helluva wait. Do i got any other options?

Thanks.

There are two more options: simply have someone repair your factory header or look for a used one.

Used ones can be pretty hard to come by but I do have one I'd be willing to part with. I (RalliSport) can also fix your cracked one, if you can't find someone local.

Its quite a shame that so many have experienced cracked factory headers, but maybe I should be thanking Subaru for sending business my way

borlas will fit. i'd do a high-flow cat or test pipe also.

an aftermarket header needs to be mated with a high-flow car or track pipe of the earlier generation to fit nicely. you can modify the flanges and connections if you only do the header.

Also i see uel headers but for older imprezas, will those fit or no?

I'm not sure but I think romraider can tune out the code, as for the headers, you would need borla pre 06 back and an older cat pipe section along with relocating the afr/o2 sensors, your best bet is to have Rallisport or some other company/shop fix yours now, Mike might be able to give you some sort of a discount to if you were to buy a set of his understanding that you needed something now.

Alternatively with so many people buying Rallisports headers I'm sure someone is willing to sell you theirs if Mike can't get them to you soon enough

borla.com... or are you looking for used ones? borla part# 17183 will fit your car. that part# fits across the board of most of the n/a subarus. the only thing is that the connection between the new header and stock cat will have to be modified. if you do a new cat (random technology, and the like), or a plain test pipe (like from stromung) with the header, it should all bolt together. you can probably just leave the code there as it is an efficiency code.
