Would like a recommended and trusted place to get an aftermarket alarm system for my car. Trying to stay away from car toys/bestbuy/frys

Thanks!

If you know anything about wiring do it yourself, add a kill switch by yourself so no one else would no where it is (on fuel pump). If I would have known this past weekend I was in Dallas I have a wiring program so alarms are not that hard to install.

My main issue is I have the factory alarm upgrade but the signal from remote to unlock the car is redicullous. I have to wave my remote while pushing the lock button over the car like I'm putting some spell on it till it finally locks the car. Remote has fresh battery in it so its something with the antennae from the module. So I either want some way to increase the range of the existing unit or put in a whole new system

If your unlock is giving you trouble just try touching the remote to the metal of the car. Should help transmit it even to a weak receiver. And what Scott said, get a kill switch but not to fuel, to the starter
My kill switch still works fine to this day:

Try amplifying your signal range by putting the remote under your chin and opening your mouth as you click it. Sounds like I'm joking (google it), but it worked well for me on my old integra so it might be worth trying.

I already do that and it rarely helps.

Earmark Car Audio is a good place. I've taken multiple cars there for alarms, stereos, and window tint.

Location: SW corner of Parker Rd. and Independence Rd.

Hate to say it but you can always lock the car with the lock switch and when the door closes it will arm the system.
