Default Matt Kincaids ETS/English Racing Sponsored Subaru

Matt Kincaid has been a good friend and competitor for the last several years. We have watched his 2002 WRX go from low 11s on a 35R to 9.40s on an off the shelf 4094 TS.

English Racing wanted to do things a little differently than how the car had been and have made a good start on changing it to something that is more our style.

Parts that were more or less there to start with-

HMS 2.5 Sleeved motor
Fuel Injector Clinic 2150s
Cosworth CNC heads
Cosworth Intake manifold
Garrett 4094 in a 1.06 housing
Dual 044 fuel pumps
E98
Autronic SM4

English Racing brought a few more things to the plate-

Forced Performance HTA4094 upgrade in a larger TS housing
GSC Power Division S3 camshafts (non AVCS)
Competition Clutch twin disc clutch

We built a custom ETS short runner/forward facing twin scroll kit and FMIC

Yesterday was the big day and second pull out of the box was pretty impressive-

751/577 at 32psi of boost (wastegate line) chopping the throttle at 8k for the dyno session. Car spins to 9k at the track and the few subsequent pulls we did out to 8500 show the power holding nice and flat with no drop off.

Video and track results to come

Beautiful set-up as always guys! When Michael told me about this new front facing nonsense I knew it should be good. Always very impressed with the quality of your welds/fabrication and solid designs. The first pic I saw I just wanted to call up and yell "Shut up and take all my money!"

So why didn't you route the downpipe under the intake manifold? (just kidding)

Thanks,
Alex Goodwin

Did Aaron tune it? Nice stuff all around! I plan on borrowing the double "crash" bars and positioning, well done, look's a lot more durable than some other ff setups.

Just jumped on here to make sure Crystal gets credit where credit is due and keep the facts straight.

Yes the shortblock was built by Crystal using Outfront's Case Halfs.

I (Steve@HMS) Assembled the motor from there and put the rest of the car together. 2013 should be an exciting year for Subaru Drag Racing in the Northwest! Thanks Matt for trusting me with your car, I can't wait to see it run down the track.

do you have any plans on running 40+ psis? it would be very interesting to see the Outfront halves working and holding up in that territory

We do intend to run more boost, yes. I made best power on that turbo around 40 but never put bigger springs in the gates to go over that.

Awesome as always Matt!
That staging brake handle came out great.
Will definitely have to try something unique on mine at some point.

Did some test runs this friday night! I need to figure how to get this car to hook in 1-2-3 as she is sliding from side to side. She did manage to trap 157 mph so things are looking promising. Just need more seat time and suspension dialed in.
