Default 02 WRX OEM Clutch/Flywheel Part #'s Different Than 05 WRX Part #'s, Interchangable?

So it's time to replace the clutch on my 2002 WRX. From reading the only way to go is OEM based off of the weak 5 speeds and deceleration rattle on the aftermarket kits.

The question I have is, the part numbers for 2002 vs 2005 WRX are different when going OEM but in aftermarket the part numbers are the same 2002-2005. So what's the difference with the OEM parts between years and can I use 2005 parts on my 2002?

The other possible question/concern I have with the part numbers being different is, did they have a different design for 02 to aid in the deceleration noise? If I use 05 will I end up with the noise?

It's tempting to use the 05 parts as they are in theory newer in design and actually cheaper also, but not worth it if it makes noise or causes other issues.

I appreciate any information on this subject as I couldn't seem to find answers to this specific clutch question on NASIOC or online.
