Default 2015 WRX Gas Door Release lever problem

Anyone else having issues with their 2015 WRX gas door release lever not opening the gas door? I have to take my car into tomorrow because its becoming such a problem. I get stuck at the gas station not being able to pop open my gas door. I've been able to open it on a bunch of attempts of pulling the lever and using my credit card to sorta pry it open. Lame. Hoping they can fix it tomorrow.

Just seeing if anyone's been having this issue.

Yes there is already a few threads going on this... and subaru has issued a TSB to dealers. Happened to me for the first time yesterday, 5000 miles and it's just happening now but have appt tomorrow.

I have same problem. I called my dealer this morning; they said that indeed the problem was known but my dealer have not yet received the parts or bulletin how to fix.

My car goes in today to have this fixed. Noticed the problem at 300 miles.

Went to my dealer this morning for my scheduled oil change. They are aware of the problem and parts are coming in. No big deal, just leaving it popped open for now.

I have contacted SOA and my lawyer and am working towards a lemon law for this, it is completely unacceptable that my $26K car has an issue like this..

Just kidding. Right around 2K miles and have not had this happen.

We've had a similar problem with our shop Focus ST. It doesn't have a gas cap but there is tabs in the neck of the filler that have to be pushed back by the nozzle in order to get the nozzle in to the neck. We have had several instances where they would not release and we are stuck at a gas station unable to get the nozzle down the neck feeling pretty stupid because we can't figure out how to get gas in the car.

Or you could have your dealer fix it the proper way for free?

Yes, see my thread in the Newbie section. There is a TSB and I quote -

"TSB 09-57-14. For anyone that has this problem, just tell your dealer there's a service bulletin post for it and give them the item code."

I was having better luck with mine (it would pop after 3 pulls) but it got stuck again tonight. I had to have some lucky soul help me pop it with a credit card. I offered to buy him a case a beer for the help and he said, "Na man, this is Powhatan. We take care of each other!" Love to see people helping people and not expecting anything in return. Best of luck to all!

only 1300 miles on my car and this happened to me today on my 4th fill up. The door popped out like 2mm maybe and I pried it open with my wegmans keychain card lol.

Honestly not worried about it enough to take the car to the dealer JUST for that....i need the trunk stops also but even that isn't enough for me to spend the time at the dealer. I'll wait til I need something else from them.
