Default Removed fender liners, DIY fender plug?

Long story short, I removed my fender liners when I fit my 18x10's on my 05 STi.
When its rainy or I drive through sand, my tires kick up sand/water and it ends up in the engine bay. I'm aware that subaru makes an OEM plug, but its for the first hole, which my FMIC pipes run though. I was wondering if anybody has a DIY solution for blocking the second hole, closest to the strut tower? I'll provide pictures if need be.

I would search around for plastic body plugs. They comes in a huge variety of sizes.

I agree, it's not a show car, but I would like it to look semi decent. I might cut out a piece of sheet metal and just rivet it in.

I just left them. When I had the fenders off to instal the fender braces I zip tied them up pretty far
