Default Rallycross in Newry ME anyone going?

Just wondering if any of you guys or girls going to this event?

http://www.subaru.com/enthusiasts/ra...est/index.html

Would be neat if there was a meet and drive up there.

This will be my first time going. What should I expect? Pardon my ignorance on rallycross. It looks just bad ass to watch. I don't want to miss a thing.

It is a lot of fun, but not like watching motorsports on a track. Expect to have to travel from Sunday River anywhere from 30min to 1.5 hours to get to a stage. Once there, you will find or be directed to a safe spectator area. You will be stuck there for anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the setup. You will be out in the middle of the woods, so no toilets, food vendors, water, etc. Bring bugspray, water, food, TP, shade/shelter from the sun/rain. Try to hook up with some more experienced people to get guidance your first time. Better still is to volunteer at the event. The other volunteers are usually very experienced and can guide you as to what to expect. Also, volunteering can often get you access to places that others do not get. I would go to the event page at http://www.newenglandforestrally.com/ for more info. They have a ton of spectator and volunteer info on the site. Read it all.

Hope I see you there. Have fun!

Ethan

You see each car go by for a few seconds. Then you go somewhere else and see each car go by for a few seconds.

EXACTLY! If you volunteer you get front row seats to the action (instead of being corralled in spectator areas) and free stuff with the chance to win even more cool stuff , and you help make it possible for other to play. For those of you that are thinking about making the step-up to stage rallying some day, this is a great opportunity to see what goes on. Also, without the volunteers, there wouldn't be events for people to compete in , so if you want something to step-up to...

But seriously, if you can help, or if you were just planning on going to spectate, please consider volunteering. With a week to go we could still use more volunteers (especially HAM operators). The sign-up form is here:
http://www.newenglandforestrally.com.../sign-up-form/

Thanks!

Exclamation Sign up to volunteer!

Monday bump!

In all seriousness, I've had several people that had signed up contact me in the last two days to tell me that they can't make it now, so we really could use more volunteers!!!

Go here: http://www.newenglandforestrally.com.../sign-up-form/ , sign up NOW!

Thanks!

Anyone that's going to be up there tomorrow or sat willing to bring their tactrix with them? Had to send mine out for service, just want to do a couple quick pulls to check for knock til I get mine back. I'll have my laptop and USB so I just to borrow the unit itself.

Thanks
Jon
